I'm not a legalese man by any means, but do you mean that driving a car is a "government-granted privilege" because you need a license to that?

Yes, google "driving is a privilege" and you can see what we have all had beaten into us since we first yearned to have driver's license. It was not always so.

Remember, anything "given" to you by your leaders can also be taken away.

The US Constitution was not created to "grant" rights. It was simply intended to affirm them.
