Cinco de Mayo - Protest

I can't stand all the Immigration BS anymore... So I decided to start my own protest!!!

I will not attend any Cinco de Mayo celebrations, I will not eat any Mexican food on that day!

As a matter of fact, I will be drinking all my Corona's tonight what: ) so I don't have any for Cinco de Mayo.

On Cinco de Mayo, I will find as many American or European beers as possible, and have a good burger or steak!

None of my money will be spent on products that originate from Mexico.

Take that!!!

I can't decide if I want to eat out at a non-Mexican restaurant, somewhere like Longhorn's, maybe. Or cook up a steak or burgers at home. My third idea was to cook nachos at home instead of going out to eat and basically celebrating the holiday without needing the involvement of any illegals in the making of the food.

But either way, I support your protest!

I hadn't considered celebrating...

Also, I hadn't considered the irony (to both sides) of lots of non-Mexican people going to Mexican places, sucking down Coronas/DosEquiis, all the while being served their drinks and chips by a kitchenful of illegals.

I'll be drinking Guinness and eating corned beef and cabbage on Cinco de Mayo ... not as a form of protest, but just because I like Guinness and corned beef and cabbage.

Even though I'm Mexican, I don't plan on celebrating Cinco de Mayo in the Mexican tradition.

I do plan on celebrating it in a different way. Turkey hunting, camping, fishing and drinking Jack Daniels by the evening fire while frying trout for dinner How's that for American living

Since Cinco de Mayo falls on a Friday, I'll be working as usual into the evening. After work however, I'll be enjoying a snifter of Navan (a cognac based liquer infused with black vanilla, product of France (nudge nudge, wink wink)), eating bree, black bread and white grapes while watching The Doctor & Rose Tyler give evil aliens conniptions.
