Colt LE6920 question

Can anyone tell me where the "Restricted, Law Enforcement Only" rollmark is located on a Colt LE6920 rifle ?

The older ones had it on the passenger side of the magwell. I don't think the new ones have those markings.

I didn't know there were "new" ones. I was told that these went out of production about 7 years ago.

Colt shows them still in production or at least for sale. By older ones I meant ones made during the 94-04 ban when you had to be special to buy a new one.

The "Restricted, Govt/Mil Only" roll marks on the Colt 6920 (and 6450, 6520, 6490 models) went away in late 2012.

Colt 6920's are still very much in production. As others have said, the law enforcement markings disappeared a few years ago. Same rifle, just fewer words printed on it.

Long gone however "LE" is still included in nomenclature (LE6920 / LE6920-R, etc) and serial number.

Yeah......I think we've gone way off the subject. I didn't mean for this to turn into a discussion about the LE6920. My questions were answered with the first responses. Thank you NYCMarine, you were very helpful.

I bought one June of 2016 for just under a grand, NIB. Nice little carbine. No such words defiled it.



Sorry, not a lot of pics of the other side of the mag well. I don't like posting pics of serial numbers online, kind of like limiting personal information you make readily available. That ended up biting me in the posterior when that rifle and several other firearms were stolen a few months later and I didn't have the serial numbers recorded.

The are branded M4 now, but my serial number starts with an "LE".
