If this pistol is for SD I suggest getting a G32 and buying a KKM barrel in .40S&W.

Try all three Glocks and see which you can handle best.

However, I like the G19. I have G19s, G23s and G32s.

Kaboom issues?!?! I carry one of those(A G33)!!!!!!!!! need more info on that one.:uhoh:

Have the 19c with about 3.5k rds thru it, fun gun and boring, nothing ever happens keeps on shooting.

Looked like you were serious so...

The .40 glocks have a very unsupported bbl which can sometimes lead to a case rupture during firing. Usually does a number on the frame, blows the mag out and generally scares the hell out of those nearby. Haven't heard of anyone actually being hurt by one (yet.)

From what I've seen the problem is typically with slightly over-spec ammo, even factory ammo can be shipped over spec. IIRC a batch of Federal Hydrashocks was over pressure a while back, haven't heard of anything since then. If you look at a fired case you'll see a pretty large bulge near the rim, this is where the kaboom happens.

I think there was a PD in the Pacific NW not too long ago that had a .45 Glock KB on them. Not sure if was an ammo or gun issue though.

If i were you i would seriously consider the Glock 30 nothing like 10+1 for concealing a .45 cal. Also can use the 21 mags for your mag carrier. I just bought one the other day slightly used with 5 mags and night sites for $450 great deal.

I got a chance to shoot it this past weekend and it is as accurate as my full size kimber or more. Truely impressive firepower.

Ammo is cheap and plentiful, and mine along with my kimber will eat the new wolf plinking ammo for $7.99 a box not the most accurate stuff but cheap. Would not suggest carrying that ammo but if your going to shoot it right away its hard to beat.

Also get yourself a very good holster. I also just bought the Milt Spark VM2 for my Glock 30 and my Kimber Custom II and i cant believe how good they feel.
