It's good to remember that accurate in absolute terms and accurate enough for intended purpose can mean very different things. I'm not sure if a couple of evenings in the garage was a lot of effort but it certainly made the difference between not necessarily hitting a soda can at 50yd and confidence of delivering a bullet to deer's vitals at 200. Making one a benchrest rifle would be far more elaborate of course, but for a lightweight hunting carbine that's mainly shot offhand and from shooting sticks, it's pretty much where it needs to be. A nice match to the caliber; the gun runs out of accuracy at distances the bullet runs out of speed for adequate deformation. A longer bull barrel would increase muzzle velocity and improve accuracy dramatically, but it would also add quite a bit of weight and ruin its fast handling, easy to carry nature.
