Just had to put a plug in for Competition Electronics. I bought a Pro Chrono Digital about a year and half ago and my father grazed the top of it with a 357 mag bullet. Made a groove in the top and broke a capacitor loose from the circuit board. I could not bring myself to throw it away so it just sat in my garage for months until one day I decided to call Competition Electronics and see if there was any salvage value to a broke chronograph. I needed(wanted) another one to try out some new reloads, but did not want to spend the 130.00 right now. Their customer service told me to send it in and even if they had to replace the entire until it would only cost about 65 bucks. I sent it in to them about 10 days ago and got it back today. They replaced the outer case of the unit and made internal repairs for $25.30 + 17.88 shipping. Moral(s) of the story: (1)If you ask someone who is several inches shorter than yourself to shoot through your chronograph, lower it accordingly. (2)If you do the unthinkable and shoot your chronograph and have a Competition Electronics product, don't throw it away - give them a call and see what they can do.
