Craigslist

Remember, "craigslist" is just a board. There are a handful of employees. The flagging is almost all done by other people browsing the ads. We had a lot of gun ads up here until a couple of busybody antis started flagging them.

Right and Wrong. They have software that looks for keywords that are clues to ads that are not allowed, when combined with a few flags, it gets the ad pulled rather quickly. Some people who don't understand that gun ads are not allowed on CL start to post argumentative and sometimes vulgar posts as a response, and this only brings increased oversight.

The bottom line is that CL is a private enterprise, and they are within their rights to allow and disallow anything that they want. If you don't like to get flagged, then don't post there. If you can live with it, and have the time and patience to repost, then keep going.

I have bought many guns there and will continue to do so, but i cannot complain when a free service based in San Francisco, has a problem with people posting gun ads, when at the same time, the city is banning plastic bags. We should be grateful that software does not eliminate the ads before they are even posted.

For me, i always look in local sites like these here in Georgia:
