My current lineup:

Remington M700 in 7mm-08
Winchester 94 in 30-30
Browning A-bolt in .243
Kimber 84M in .257 Roberts
Winchester M70 in 30-06

and...
Fred Bear Instinct 70lb compound bow
Lyman Deerstalker .50cal Flintlock Rifle

and when accompanied by a youth:
Remington Model 7 in 7mm-08 shooting 140gr managed recoil ammo

In the brush, I use a Ruger .44 mag carbine. It doesn't mind the occasional twig very much. I'd trust it on any KY white tail, like this one:

If I'm shooting in or over a field, Weatherby Vanguard in 30.06.

Ranges here in KY tend to be much shorter than those I used to hunt in AZ. Out there I always went with either a 7MM mag or .300 WBY mag because of the probable distance.

Almost forgot. NEF Handi Rifle in 45-70 for primitive weapons season in Mississippi with the brother-in-law.

Gotta love Mississippi's primitive weapons guidelines.

Usually use either one of my Tikka T3 Stainless rifles in .30-06 or .308.

I have quite few of the stainless T3s (in several calibers including .223) and find them to be the most durable, accurate hunting rifles that I have ever used.

The detachable polymer magazines (in either 3, 4 or 5 round capacity deopending on caliber) are great for carrying a little extra ammo into the woods in a readily available condition. I usually pickup a half dozen magazines (they are available on several websites) with every rifle that I acquire so that I'll have a few "extras" for this purpose.

Whatever suits my fancy on the given day:

Weatherby Mark V .300 Win. Mag.
Weatherby Vanguard .270 Win.
Remington M700 SPS Tactical .308 Win
Springfield 1903 .30-06 Sprg.
Springfield M1 Garand .30-06 Sprg.

Either a Weatherby Vanguard .308

or

a German Mauser 98K made in 1941....it's a great rifle.

Depending on the particular situation I will either use my Weatherby Mark V Weathermark in .270 win. wearing a VX-III 4.5-14x40 for longer distance situations, or my Rock River Arms AR-15 in 6.8 SPC with an Aimpoint CompM3 for in the woods when I need something a little handier. And you never know, I may just even pull out the ol' Savage Model 99 in .243 or grandpa's bubbafied Mauser in .308 if I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. I like to keep my options open.

I will use the following.

1.Marlin 45/70 with a Leupold Scout Scope and handloads with 405 REM JSP
2.Ruger M77 257 Roberts topped with a Leupold 3X9X40 using handloads with 117 grain Hornady interlocks
3.Ruger M77 compact in 260 rem topped with a leupold 1.75x6x32 using handloaded 129 grain hornady interlocks.
4.Marlin 1894 in 41 mag with ghost ring sights using 200 grain handloads.
5.Smith & Wesson model 57,41 magnum with iron sights and 255 grainhandloads.
6.CVA Acura 50 caliber with 2x7x33 Leupold Ultimateslam scope.Shooting 300 grain Hornady XTP Sabots.
