.50 cal muzzle loader. IF I can find an inexpensive VX-1 3x9 scope, I might take the .308 barrel out once or twice. If not, there is always the sks or the springfield 840

I'm going deer hunting this year?? This is news to me :what:
No but really, either my Winchester .44mag or.........actually that's what I'll be using since I only have about 90 yds or less of open field surrounded by 65acres to hunt on.

Remington 7400 -- 30.06
Remington Model 700 -- .270
Ted Williams M200 12 guage (same as Winchester Model 1200) Very accurate gun -- can put five in an 8 inch circle at 100 yards with iron sites.

I will be using my CZ 6.5X55 Swede...YEEHI! and my backup right now will be my 300 mag, or my Ruger 280, or my 7mm-08, or my 7mm Mag, or my 270 if I can get my stock replaced, or....oh well what ever my hand falls on when I reach in my gun safe....

What a selection.

My .45-70 took a hog last week, so I think I'll use the .30-30 for deer this year. I just don't think I'll need a long-range rifle where I'll be hunting. I may go hunt primitive season, though, in which case the Hawken clone will come out to play.

Rem M700 Mnt Rifle
7mm X 57mm Mauser
Leuy 4X M8 scope
140 gr Ballistic Tip, 51 gr H4350, 2850 fps

I'm waiting to get my 15" T/C Encore in 7mm-08 back. Having it drilled and tapped for a scope mount. Also waiting for 6.5 x 55 SE I ordered. If neither one is here by gun deer season it will be my Sako model 85 finnlight in 300 Win mag (short blood trail).

It caused my antelope to skid a few feet but that was his fault for sneaking up so close to me.

For smoke-pole season, I'll bring out the Knight Wolverine 50 cal shooting 230 gr. HP sabots.

Rifle, I get to pick and choose a bit.

Stevens Model 200 in 300 Win Mag loaded with 165 gr GameKings.
Winchester Model 70 in 7mm Rem Mag loaded with 150 gr Ballistic Silvertips.
Remmy Model 700 in .270 Win loaded with 130 gr Ballistic Silvertips.

Out of those three mentioned, the Stevens goes with me the most. I have proven to myself that I can shoot with it the best...makes me feel a bit more confident if a tough shots presents itself. :D

Selection kid of like mine!!!

Sporterized Mauser 98' action (Zastava) with a light weight Douglas .308Win barrel that is drilled/tapped for leupold rings/bases.

Hand made wood stock (by me) and an adjustable 2.5 lb Timmney Trigger.

Gonna push some of my handloads...180gr SP GameKings under a nice charge of Varget in hand prepped LC Brass :D

Unfortunately my zone only allows slugs...so the Browning Gold Hunter is getting the nod.

If I could use a rifle, it would either be my HS Precision 260 Rem or Marlin 1895 in 45-70. I guess I could use my .405 Win, but that's prolly overkill. ;)
