Long Range:
Rem 700 in a 7mm topped with a Swarovski scope

Short range:
Marlin 1895 in a .450 and iron sights

The rare Mid Range:
A 1942 Enfield No. 1 Mk 3, chambered in.............you guessed it............303 British, with a leupold sitting on top.

Son will be using a Rem 788 with a leupold scope chambered in a little ol' bitty .243 that has killed more deer than every gun I have....... combined. :neener:

Other son will be using Pentax binoculars for the next couple of years, but he'll still love it.

Eastern Washington (long range): Ruger #1 in .30-06 w/ Leupold 3-9X

Western Washington (close range): Winchester 1895 in .30-06 w/ peep sights

I'll be using two Weatherby Vanguards. One in .243 and one in 25-06. They are setup with identical scopes, rings, and bases and zeroed the same. I need to take one doe with each.
Dallas Jack

Another doe mule deer tag in Idaho. I will be status post (6 months) C5-C6 neck fusion in October. Therefore I am either leaning towards an old but rarely used Savage 111 in .223 Remington. If I go that route I will stick with the Federal Premium 55grain Trophy Bonded Bear Claw. I will also consider my Remington model 700 ADL in 243 Win. I would be using Federal Premium 95grain Nosler Ballistic Tip.
I normally hunt Idaho muleys and cow elk with my 270 Tikka T3. The bullet I have had the best performance with the Federal Premium with 150 grain Nosler Partitions and Federal 140 grain Trophy Bonded Bear Claw High Energy load.

The Kimber shoots very well, but I have had 3 empty rounds hang up in it. I called the factory and they will fix it free. The rifle is 5 years old and had never been fired when I bought it a few months ago. The finish is perfect and feels very good in my hands.

I'll use a Howa 1500 in 6.5x55 and a Thompson Contender in 30-30. My son will use a CZ 527 in .223.

Remington Model Seven in .308. Once I have one in the freezer, I'll be switching to a Ruger Redhawk (.44 Mag revolver).

I'll be using what has been my standard set-up for the last couple of decades or so, hunting in Michigan and Pennsylvania: a Savage model 99 chambered in .358 Winchester, loaded with 200 grain Silvertips. Whitetails don't travel far with this load when hit fairly.
