Dissappointed with SIG

I would raise a little cain with customer service. Use some tact at first and see what it gets you. Take a pic or two and send it too them. If you dont get it fixed start asking for managers or higher. Like anything in life the squeky wheel gets grease. Sig is pretty good as resolving problems but you have to be forceful with them or any other company for that matter. I would not be happy with getting a broken weapon and then having it damaged during repairs...Nor would they and nor should you, so good luck...

Sorry to hear about your problems with QC and the shoddy follow up service. Keep calling them and insist they refinish the scratched piece. Unfortunately SIG Sauer's CS is hit or miss, some folks have had great experiences and others horrible ones.

I had to send my slide in b/c the left rear night sight was chipped. It took two tries to have it replaced. The first time they didn't replace anything and I'm still waiting for the second go round. Lets hope that they get it right this time. The CS rep. was more than nice about it though. Told me to call or email him if I had any more issues.

Two of the three Sigs I own had problems, and they were the two most recent purchases. I will never but another. I don't disagree that ALL quality firearms can have problems, but I expect the manufacturer to make it right. When I sent in a Mosquito, they sent it back telling me that it was test fired 4 times with CCI Mini-Mags and it functioned flawlessly. When I followed up with a letter asking if the CCI ammunition sold in Florida was different from the CCI available in New Hampshire because I continued to have reliability problems with Mini-Mags, they failed to respond. It took two more phone calls before they told me to send it back again. It still doesn't function properly, and their attitude toward customer service is atrocious.

Sounds like what happened to me. Had a 229 and 239. Never ever had a malfunction. Bought a 220 compact and a 220 equinox and they have both been back to Sig twice. My Kahr MK9 is very reliable too.

i hope that the gun was new when you bought it, because some clown will put all this aftermarket b.s. in it, the gun was designed for combat when you add all this so called carry stuff it makes the pistol or firearm more unreliable and scratches dont bother me, sigs are made for shooting not display pieces i have a 220 in 45 acp stamped slide model and a 226 blackened s.s. model it had a horrendous trigger but i fixed that ,so not all guns come from the factory perfect.

I personally have not bought a brand new Sig, nor would I. They are overpriced in my opinion. I like Sigs, but have only bought used ones.

Both my Sigs were bought new and are not CPOs. I don't add anything aftermarket on my handguns, except sights. Especially Glocks, they're best kept stock.

Well I'm afraid people will pull just about anything to get something for nothing or upgrade, or whatever...

(Now I'm not saying your slide had marks on it when it went to the factory, but your saying it did when it came back.)

I would think under the circumstances Sig would take your word for it but Son, lesson learned - next time you send any handguns anywhere to anyone for repair get yourself a copy of the local newspaper on the day of shipment put the ole' handgun right on it so you can see the date and take some digital pictures before you send it to anyone -

Yeah I know and I agree 100% (you shouldn't have to do this):banghead: But in todays society with the shoddy workmanship out there and all bull***t artist running around in order to protect yourself you have to take extreme measures.:what:

Take the pictures and rest assured anything will be covered if damaged.

Every scratch that may be on any weapon I own was put there by ME and has a memory (whether good, bad, funny or just embarrasing) attached to it. I don't mind a "well used" weapon, but I want the stories told by the dings and scratches to be my own. Not jssut because of someone handling it carelessly.
Anxious to hear what Sig says about it when they reply.
Good luck!
