There ya go, proof positive that shooting someone with knife is not escalating.

I heartily agree. And I wish this was taught at the CCW classes before a permit was issued. The right/privilege of carrying a firearm is quite serious and important, and I don't approach the subject lightly, like, "Hey lookee what I got!"

The sign of a good debater is to see (and possibly defend) both sides of an issue. As I stated, we do not have a CCW provision in my state. However, my clients deserve the same aspects of safety and security other people enjoy in "shall issue" states.

So I equip them with razor sharp knives. And I don't mean a knife that "pops hair." I mean a knife that sinks in to the bone.

We have all of the social ills here that you do in your state. We have the same bangers, muggers, thrill killers and kidnappers that plague your communities. Because of a foolish political stance, I cannot arm my clients with the firearms all of your have and enjoy.

But a man shouldn't be found on his knees begging for life. If one of my people is confronted, he's going to give as well as he gets.

My folders

The bottom three folders are my daily carry along with my pistol. The Bench Made at the top is carried while vacationing in the boonies.

In Texas when the knife comes out, the gun comes out, loud noises(several) along with flashes of light. Body hits ground and stays there.

End of fight.

Period.

I am most concerned as far as she goes with trying to keep things smooth, things are ok right now, that blow-up was a pretty isolated incident. I thiink that I need to allow the breakup to be on her terms, ie unless she decides that it's time for us to split up, she very well may get crazy on me, and use our no due process domestic disturbance system to fabricate claims she knows will ruin me. Unfortunately when you have a system that can be maliciously used to wreck someone's life on the basis of the accuser's "feeling" "threatened" these things can happen. I guess that's what we get for grasping at easy "fixes" and "solutions" to very real problems with domestic abuse.
Sounds like you already know how dangerous she is. DO NOT BE ALONE WITH HER, AND AVOID HER IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. You might consider getting help of some sort. There must be groups for abused spouses. You should find them and get help, NOW. You need to start making a case right now in the event that she does something like you suggest.

This is a much more important issue than her stance on civil rights.

That's my $.02. Take it for what it's worth
Good luck.

"Sacp, why did you shoot him 15 times?" "Well, Your Honor, he fell down before I could change magazines.")

Because I didn't have any more bullets!!!!!!........;)

Proper proceedure: BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!........"Police, don't move. Drop the knife"...

as a ciminal justice maor I have to wonder if she attends class. But instead of dumpong her try to educate her. If you know any LEO or miitary and ask them what would happen if someone cam at them with a knife, and aw shcuks all they hav is a pistol. That pistol will be used in some capacity. And tell her to do her casework and one of the first we all go over is the Subway-Shooter Berhnard Goetz, who to a perceived threat of grave bodily inury or death from 4 teens attempting to rob thm, shot at his assailants, wounding a few, cofinig on to the grave and another to a wheelchair. although not perfectly symmetrical, it helps to illustarte that in times past our society has held that deady force is deadly force and that it can be met with such. No matter if it is conveyed through the bullet of a firearm, a set of fists or the blade of a knife.

A knife is deadly force. A gun is deadly force. It's not your fault that your deadly force is better than his deadly force.

That sounds like it should be in someone's signature.

Then there's the old proverb:

"Those who live by the sword . . . are shot by those who don't."
