eotech sight problem

I just picked up a old eotech sight in what I though was a steal. I have never seen one before when I picked up this one at auction. I handled it and could tell immediately that it was the real deal by the weight of it and the serial number sticker on the bottom with the address so I wasn't worried about it being fake. It wouldn't turn on though I was optomistic and hoped it was dead batteries as it had no visible damage. I changed the batteries but still nothing. I emailed eotech about seeing what model it is and if they would service it. They emailed back and said it was a 400 series sight and that they don't service it anymore. It was apperently designed as a archery sight which it explains where I got it from. Is there another place that will work on them and would it even be worth anything if it was fixed?

I doubt it.

Clean the battery contacts with a ink eraser and try it again.
