what is your favorite go to gun when things go bump in the night, or for conceal carry?
Just curious? Mine is a commander sized steel frame 1911, 45acp, course at night is a pump 12 guage

Concealed carry: HK P2000 V1 "light" LEM trigger with reset reduction, Trijicon HDs, and NP3 + finish in .357SIG:

It's also got a .40 barrel in NP3 + for when I won't get my .357Sig brass back.

Bump in the night: Colt LE6920 Magpul furniture, Geissele SSA-E trigger, Trijicon Tri-Power with M3X light.

Gotta say my Remington 700 30-06. Bought in 1975. Near 50 years of No Fails what so ever. And, I see No reason it's not going to last another 50. Who ever inherits this thing is going to have a dang good gun.

Favorite is my Springfield Range Officer Target model 9mm, 5" 1911. EDC is Shield Plus 9mm Performance Center IWB Clinger Kydex or OWB Desantis leather.

two different roles for me, and concealed carry changes alot, but currently my favorite concealed carry is my S&W Shield Plus in 30 Super Carry.

My bedside go to is the CZ 75 Stainless

I have a COLT 1911 38 SUPER, built in 1967, with a 9 mm ED BROWN CONVERSION KIT, all I had to do was change barrel, bushing and magazines --- presto 9mm,
not much difference in the 30 super carry and 38 super

Bump in the night: full sized Smith 1911 45ACP (wife has a "youth sized" Mossburg pump 20ga standing in the corner on her side of the bed).
Concealed carry: Glock G19 9mm (wife carries a Smith Shield EZ 380ACP).

awesome, thinking of getting my wife a 32 H & R mag, Yeah I know you can shoot 32 H & R mags in that gun

Not sure, but if your comment was regarding g my 327 NG that revolver is an 8 shot .357 Magnum. I keep it loaded with .38 Special Hornady Critical Defense. Out of all my handguns this one is the one my wife likes snd shoots very well.

On the night stand positioned in the manner that my hand will naturally grab it in one fluid movement is a SIG 228 9MM w/14rds 147 grain Gold Dots. With a First Light Tomawk high beam, for my support hand.
Behind the bedroom window curtain is a Mossberg 18" 12ga loaded with 10 Mini Rounds 5X5 Buck and Ball mix. Making my way across the Hall out of my room to the next. Behind the door is a Marlin Camp 9 w/Red Dot w/12 rds of the 147gr Gold Dots. in case I need to be outside. etc etc each room has an additional surprise.
My favorite handguns are single actions and No. 1 my Colt 1911. But at night I want firepower.

bout the most high rounds is my COLT 1911 38 SUPER/9 MM . THAT GUN STARTED LIFE AS A 1911 38 SUPER IN 1967. WAS ABSENT OF BLUING SO IN 1983 HAD IT HARD CROMED, BEAD BLASTED AND BLUED, HIGH PROFILE FIXED SIGHTS, NEW BARSTO MATCH GRADE BARREL AND BUSHING (MUST REMEMBER PRIOR TO THE 1990's COLT 38 supers headspaced on the semi rim, and since each ammo manufacturer had a different size rime accuracy was a problem), beavertail grip safety, always had a problem with hammer bite on 1911s without beavertails, match trigger and hammer. In the 1990s when 9 mm ammo got cheap, was told all I had to do to have a 9 mm change the barrel and bushing, (ed brown match barrel and bushing) and change magazines and presto, 9mm. 38 SUPER ammo has always been on the high side, and when covid hit the price jumped to 70.00 bucks a box, but I do reload. this gun hold 10 + 1 either 9 mm or 38 super

My night stand gun is a Springfield XD mod 2 compact in 45acp. My carry pieces are usually my DB9 or LCP depending on what I am wearing.

My XD mod 2 holds 14 rounds of 45acp. I will carry it with me when I go out side to check on something... or just take the garbage out. Times when I wouldn't carry a larger gun.

If the 7 rounds of 9mm in my DB9 aren't enough to get me out of a bad situation I REALLY should not have been there in the first place!

My carry is a Kimber which I got as seen when a friend needed money.

I originally planned to just sell it and then grew fond of it. So fond I now also have the full stainless version. Go figure. I also have several full size 1911 guns but like the 3" barrel. Just easier to conceal.
