bout the most high rounds is my COLT 1911 38 SUPER/9 MM . THAT GUN STARTED LIFE AS A 1911 38 SUPER IN 1967. WAS ABSENT OF BLUING SO IN 1983 HAD IT HARD CROMED, BEAD BLASTED AND BLUED, HIGH PROFILE FIXED SIGHTS, NEW BARSTO MATCH GRADE BARREL AND BUSHING (MUST REMEMBER PRIOR TO THE 1990's COLT 38 supers headspaced on the semi rim, and since each ammo manufacturer had a different size rime accuracy was a problem), beavertail grip safety, always had a problem with hammer bite on 1911s without beavertails, match trigger and hammer. In the 1990s when 9 mm ammo got cheap, was told all I had to do to have a 9 mm change the barrel and bushing, (ed brown match barrel and bushing) and change magazines and presto, 9mm. 38 SUPER ammo has always been on the high side, and when covid hit the price jumped to 70.00 bucks a box, but I do reload. this gun hold 10 + 1 either 9 mm or 38 super
