What is the favorite and least favorite gun in your collection?

I really like all of my guns, but of them all, I favor some more than others.

Favorite -- for pure shooting joy, my FN Police Shotgun takes the cake. For some reason, I'm just a natural with this type of firearm, and I should really shoot it more.

Least favorite -- the gun that has been by far the most work, my M1 Garand. While I love the M1 for its sights, trigger, and smooth shooting, mine has required a lot of attention, particularly with the gas cylinder, gas cylinder splines, front sight, gas cylinder lock, and gas cylinder lock screw valve. Luckily, my expert machinist father and his German machine tool designer buddy are going to help me make everything right on that end of the gun when they get back from Istanbul and Sao Paulo. After that, maybe we'll work on bringing the group size down as well. I will be posting what we learn in Rifle Country.

My favorite for sentimental value, and sheer beauty, is my nickle plated Colt Trooper MKIII .357 mag I inherited from my dad.My favorite for fun, SHTF, general all around solid, versatile gun, is my heavily modified WASR-10.Least favorite is my RG Industries .22lr revolver (don't laugh, it was free).about 30% of the rounds wont fire the first try, its ugly, and the sights are crappy.

Favorite would be my Khar PM9. Great carry gun. Most times don't even feel like I'm wearing it.

Least favorite is a .22 Lorcin I bought on a whim when I first started my collection. Never can tell when/if it will stovepipe, jam, etc.

You get what you pay for.

I don't have a favorite gun in my collection because most of them mean alot to me in some special way or another. My M1 Garands, M1 carbines or any of my milsurps. My favorite bolt action hunting rifle on the other hand is a Remington 700 BDL 7mm Mag that I can either load up or down to 30-30 level. Depending on what I want to do with it. My least Favorite is my Mosin Sniper (repro). I have a love/hate relationship with that thing. You really gotta understand shooting to the nth degree to shoot it. If you can shoot that 2X4 with a chin weld and hold a 3" group while standing then you can shoot! She is a training rifle as far as I am concerned. You gotta shoot it like a russki with your chest instead of using the pocket of your shoulder you use your chest.:uhoh: Really. It is a Meat tenderizer.

Favorite.. Ruger 22/45 Mk III, but then I shoot it the most.

Least? I don't guess I really have one. I've got a few I've never fired and probably never will, but I still like them. Those would be a couple of Type 53 Mosin-Nagants that I got cheap, and a Thompson Center "Senece" .36 cal Muzzleloader that someone gave me.

favorite: Hi-Point 9mm comp or my beretta .22LR pistol
least: probally my mossberg 500 pump only because there aren't really any places to go in my area that i can shoot it compared to living in arizona.

Favorite: Garand
Least: 1895 Nagant Revolver or beat to hell old Stevens .22 with no bluing and a barrel bulge.

Least favorite: Walther P22. Piece of junk right out of the box.
Favorite: 642 or XD9

Right now, favorite = FN FS2000, the newest. It seems to work that way.

Least favorite for a while is a Daewoo DP51. Not too common. Not too sure why I bought it.

My favorite would have to be my XD-40, very comfortable, accurate, totally reliable, I love it.

I cannot choose my least favorite because I like all of my guns:

Taurus Tracker 357
Taurus Mil-Pro 40 DAO
Springfield XD-40
Ruger 22/45

Yugo 59/66 SKS
Mossberg 500 12 gauge
Marlin 952M 22 magnum ( I actually like this rifle)
Universal 30 carbine

I can't choose a least favorite from that list.:neener:

We don't really have a collection yet, but of the couple we do have:

Favorite: Benelli Montefeltro 12 gauge. My baby. Took me from nothing to so far averaging about 19/25 in trap in just a couple weeks. I love that gun. Eventually I'll get a propert trap gun, but I'll probably cry when I stop using Monty twice every week.

Least favorite: Don't shoot me, but the 870 Wingmaster 12 gauge. Older model, lost a bit of bluing, but lovely gun that I got super-cheap as a birthday present for the husband. He's not much of a shotgunner and just about never uses it. It doesn't fit me well at all and so I can't really use it. It sits there. Endlessly. Lesson learned: Don't buy the spouse what I would enjoy. If I'd gotten him a rifle or a handgun that year, or even a synthetic Express for HD, we wouldn't have the world's most versatile gun sitting unused most of the time. As it is, it lives in the bedroom near some HD shells, but it still just irks me. Not the right tool for the job.

Favorite:
It's a struggle between the Marlin 39A and the Kimber Raptor 1911 .45.

Least:
Springfield UltraCompact V10 1911.
Only because it's ported. So painful to shoot without muffs I flinch. It sits in the safe.

Between those extremes there are multiple other tools but there's the opposite ends of it.

Of my small collection I'd say my favorite is my Ruger MkII because no matter how little skill I have in shooting a pistol, I still love shooting that thing. Its easily the weirdest looking gun I've ever shot but the ergonomics feel great to me and ammo is cheap. A good day for me is sitting in the woods plinking with that pistol and a brick of .22LR

My least favorite is probably my .44 cap and ball revolver, just because it is such a pain to load, fun to shoot, but so annoying to load.

Favorite a Colt Commander Satin Nickel with Cocobolo grips
Least favorite a bubba special Carcano carbine that I may make into a JFK special if I can ever find the same scope and mount at a cheap price.
I would not be ruining it as it has already been stripped of most parts and drilled and tapped and has little if any blueing left whatsoever.
Now that fleabay has banned most parts I have allot harder time finding some of the ones needed to bring her back to life.

My favorite is my FEG Hipower. It has beautiful polished bluing and is fit with a Browning ambi safety, SIG rear sight, and a Heinie front sight. My LEAST favorite is my wife's Taurus PT-22. Dang I hate that gun. It has never worked right. Rosewood grips, nickel, gold accents, and can't fire three rounds in a row without jamming. yuck.

I would say my favorite has to be my Springfield GI 1911 and my least favorite is my old Marlin model 66? .22. If the Marlin wasn't the first gun I ever purchased I would have gotten rid of it years ago.

Favorites: Glock 26 and S&W 637
Least favorite: Ruger No.1 varmint 22-250 that I just got rid of. I don't have a new least favorite yet.

Favorite - Kimber Custom
Least - Dang, I like them all but the one I don't shoot much is the Keltec P3AT.

my favorite because it used to belong to my best friend growing up Brian Greene he died at the age of 21 from bone cancer. I got his pistol, a guitar, and some of his ashes. You couldn't pay me a million dollars for it. It will always be mine.

can't hit anything past 5 yards unless it's the broad side of a barn! Impractical, puny, hard to reload. But, shoooosh don't say anything it might get offended!

Favorite: Ruger P345, my every day carry weapon and lately the one I've shot the most. Honorable mentions go to my Rem 870 and my Rem 700's (.243 and .30-06)

Least Favorite: Keltec PLR 16 - Haven't had it for long. Lusted after one for awhile. Bought it, got it home and had buyers remorse almost instantly. Just isn't me. Won't be mine for much longer :).
