What's your favorite pocket revolver, ie. the revolver up like best that is small enough that you can actually put it in you pant pocket and carry it? Thanks, Dennis
Ruger SP101, of course. I will concede that it will not fit all pockets; over the last decade or so, I have largely based pants purchases on whether the front pockets will contain an SP101.
Mine is a Colt Cobra, same as the Detective Special but light with an alloy frame. Colts are 6-shooters as opposed to the Ruger and Smith 5 shot models.
S&W 642. Light, compact, no hammer to snag. It's aluminum and stainless steel so rust isn't a problem which also allows me to keep it kind of dry to prevent dust and lint from sticking to it.
Colt Detective Special. I'd also go with the SP 101, but consider it a bit out of the "pocket revolver" category. But if I needed a snubby to shoot .357s, that would be the one.
+1...but my Colt DS is so minty that I cant bring myself to carry it. It is that mint. So, I carry my old beater S&W M36 that Mac McGraw (Mac's Shootin' Irons) did up for me with his Tuffgun-1 finish. Totally impervious to sweat and wears like iron. Like it a lot.
My favorite "pocket revolver's" have for a long time, been the Colt D-frames
such as the Detective Special, Cobra, and Agent. But, its like our friend Creature said, "mine are too minty" for everyday carry; so in turn
I switch over to a very cherry Smith & Wesson 642-2, when occassionally
I decide to carry a .38 Special~!
