Forgot How Much Fun A .22 Can Be.

Many of us here in Eugene take our .22's pretty seriously. We even developed regularly-scheduled, official league action around the concept and we're in our 4th biannual .22 League session (4 wks long) as we speak. I'm pretty good with my tweaked 'n tuned Mark II Gov Model and it was one of my first guns. Tuned the trigger, put some nice Hogue grips on it and called it ready to rock. Had a fellow shooter finally tweak the sights perfectly and now it's killer accurate. :neener: Love it.

Though I don't exactly put cheapo ammo thru it, it's still an economical shoot... and damn' good aiming practice. This particular gun is HEAVY and has helped develop some muscle control over time... along with the .45, of course.
;)

Depends on what I'm in the mood to shoot, but I take either the Single-Six, the Mk 2 Auto or the OLD Marlin 99.

The Marlin 99 holds a lot of ammo...17 .22LR's in the tubular mag. Makes a lot of bang! between reloads ! ! !

Don't forget regular glass for those MKII guys. Grab a B Square mount and a regular 2X pistol scope and your good to go. While not as "fun" to shoot as a dot scope it's a little more of a challenge. Amen on the "old eyes.":D
