As my eyes continue to decline my need for sight options increases. I bought a Glock 34 about a year and a half and have really come to enjoy the gun. I slicked up the trigger group and put a front fiber optic while keeping the factory adjustable rear. The combo works well for me. It's shoots great and even has tight groups (for me).
I have looked at different options to install a small red dot a Vortex or Burris FF. I have considered getting my slide cut at the gunsmith, several dove tail mounting options, the JT Defense set up (looks pretty good), I have even considered a new upper (which would cost allot). I almost hate to mess with it because it functions so well I just want to shoot longer distances well. To properly do a full upper with the sight costs as much as a new gun with the optic.
What has been your guys experiences? Which platforms work best? The JT system seems solid but physically the complete upper with a machined slide seems the superior system.
