I'll be interested in seeing what the culprit is, when you get it figured out.
Time to replace the ejector spring....
You might be on to something there.View attachment 832057 Well, based on the difference in length between the new and old springs I think it might have been past time for a replacement.
. . .shot Remington 115 +P flawlessly but choked exactly the same way using regular pressure 124 grain Gold Dot. 4 out of 20 shots. . . with the empty case trapped longwise between the breech and top of the barrel hood. . .
Update: with the replacement recoil spring the gun shot Remington 115 +P flawlessly but choked exactly the same way using regular pressure 124 grain Gold Dot.
I won’t know until I get a chance to get back to the range next week. I always run it through the mag because single loading is suppposed to be hard on the extractor. A visible inspection of the extractor didn’t reveal any obvious problems, so I’m hopeful it’s just a weak spring. I ordered a full set of springs from Kahr under the assumption it certainly won’t hurt anything to replace them all.Elkins45,
How did you make out replacing the different parts? Just interested in the outcome. I beleive you are looking at an extractor wear issue. Do you by any change ever single load a round in the chamber and send the slide home? Or do you always run your ammo through the magazine?
