I have conceal carried all my handguns except my 2 Vaqueros, so for own its 6+.

I routinely carry one of two, a full size and a compact, depending on weather considerations.

Currently its a government 1911 and a ultra 1911.

I only have 3 EDC guns:
Ruger LCP
Kahr CM9
Springfield XDs 3.3 .45.

I do have other retired carry guns though:
NAA Guardian in .32
CZ pocket in .25
Bersa 380... but it was never reliable enough for me to trust my life too.

Don't carry every day but when I do it's usually a G-19 with an occasional appearance by a 4" S&W 686. So that makes 2 for me.

I find it hard to gauge, because I also carry full-size, but four CC-EDCs, and 5 full size, I don't know,
because I live alone. Besides, how can any of us tell if you are nutz? We aren't there.
(Be vew-wy vew-wy quiet, I'm hunting Wabbits!)

I usually pocket carry and currently have a Beretta Bobcat, LCP, LCR, LC9s pro, Smith 442, Walther PPS 40 and a Kahr CW45 to choose from and I'm looking add my Steyr S40 and SR9c to the mix. I have more than a dozen that I've carried on my hip, but I seldom carry that way anymore.

I have around 10 guns that I would consider suitable for concealed carry but in reality I only carry 3 or 4 of them on any sort of rotational basis. That would be a Kahr CM9, SIG P238, S&W Model 649, and a S&W Model 638.

As I’m sure has already been correctly pointed out, if you’re not carrying a given gun every day, then it’s not ‘EDC.’

I have a primary carry and two back-ups.

I carry one of the back-ups when I take my primary to the range to shoot, for example.

But it’s perfectly appropriate to have more than one gun that can serve as a carry gun – I have a total of 4 guns with holsters that can be used for concealed carry.

And if I should use my primary for self-defense, it will likely be retained by the authorities for a period of time, where one of the back-ups would become my primary carry.

I own multiple handguns, 4 of which can be carried privately. I stick to mainly my 442 .38 special revolver. I trust it. Each handgun I own has to serve a purpose beyond range use. All of them have been rewarding to utilize.

For many years I carried two identical Sig P229s as primary and backup, and I had a third in reserve for times when one of those was out of action.

1 at a time, 3 total: LCR, Shield, ,and G19.

OP, my wife thinks I'm nuts, too. After 20+ years of marriage, she should know, I guess.

Yeah you can only carry one at a time but I rotate between 8 regularly. BUT if you call a full sized 1911 good for carry I could double that number and then some. I would have a hard time keeping it concealed if it was that big at work though so I don't do it often.

Colt .380 Government Model
Glock 42

I thought the Glock would replace my Colt; however, I have just not bonded to the Glock. I think it is the "pull the trigger to field strip" that leaves me feeling a bit off towards it. Toward that end, I have ordered a Kimber Micro .380 to add to the group and I hope that I can bond to it as a primary. It is currently on the way to my FFL.

Like the OP, I have a 9x18 Makarov and it was my EDC for many years. There is a lot to say for the Makarov. It is accurate and easy to detail strip. Detail striping was important because after getting it I ended up taking it apart and polishing just about every part in it. After that it really a a good shooter. It was retired due to the increasing lack of ammunition choice in 9x18.

Ive always been facinated when 1911 guys can't get comfortable with field stripping a Glock (I am a 1911 guy myself).

I always felt/feel more uncomfortable with my fingers around the barrel getting the bushing off (with the gun pointed upwards) than I ever was dry firing a Glock into a safe direction to break it down.
