A falling block would require a great deal more machining and parts and fitting. I'm a fan of break open guns. The H&R's and Rossi's soured many peoples taste for them but done correctly it can be a very accurate action.
I have no knowledge of manufacturing costs but I’d think a falling block would be much more expensive to make. I could be wrong though because I really don’t have any idea.
Oh yeah, just ask these guys; And you would be right... At least one of any quality would be...

I would like one in 45 colt and the other in 30-30 I hope they someday offer these in those singleshot rifles!I still like my .357 Handi-Rifle (H&R), but if Henry comes out with a .357 Mag, I might just have to trade in the H&R (or give it to some deserving youngster).
Well, appears to have been a false alarm. The "pending" charge on my credit card has disappeared, and my order at Cabela's is reading "Backordered" again. In fact, it looks like the .44 Mag version is the only one Cabela's hasn't gotten yet. The wait continues ...
Yeah, Baby!!Update: order status now showing "Shipped." That sounds promising ...
I love single shot guns as I can enjoy the shots much more than the new whizbang semisI have had my 223 for a week. Have not had it out to the range yet, but it IS a beautiful rifle. I rarely shoot my ARs anymore, opting instead for the zen of single loading a bolt gun. I can't wait to get this is out there and run it!!

That is correct. I'm swamped the next couple of days, but will get to some additional photos and a complete review as I have the time. First impressions, though, are very positive. Fit and finish seem very nice.... Its a rebounding hammer mechanism right?
I know this is going way out on a limb but is your user name related to the state you live in Delawarean?
