Had talked to a fellow awhile back about transferring NFA firearms, his ailing father in law had. He got that squared away and asked me yesterday if I was interested in some stuff he had. I rarely turn down free stuff and he stopped by yesterday and dropped it off.

Reminds me I need to shoot more, you don’t get to take it with you…

Nice delivery from your friend

I helped a friend of mine that due to health reasons could not reload anymore find homes for his gear. I ended up with the primers and powders and a couple of dies dies sets which I did not have. And sold the rest for him. Sadly he only lasted another year before he passed.

My son is not interested in any of my tools and reloading gear, but one of my nephews is. When I get to that point I will start to find new homes for my stuff.

My kids will have to deal with that one day, but they know what to do with it, so I’m god there. Many folk aren’t though.

Yes, and it’s pretty sad.

I am pretty cognizant of the need to be well organized and easily disposable with my gear and supplies. I’ll likely leave some stuff when I pass, but I am really planning to give much of it away when I get to the point I’m not using it any more or it will be in better hands.

First stuff to go will probably be the reloading stuff. Some guns and ammo will be gifts for kids and grandkids. And the remaining items will hopefully be manageable to gift, sell, or pass on.

Nice Haul! I've had some great benefactors give me stuff over the years, (and I have passed some of it on to new reloaders) but you hit the motherlode.

Same here. Two of my 3 sons know about the reloading equipment and how to.use it but my youngest has actually already used it.

I tried to teach them the worth of the equipment and guns so the family doesn't get swindled when I'm gone.

As for the gifts, that is some very good stuff you got there. That is a lot of powder especially with today's availability and prices.

nice washer & drier combo score!

If you need any help moving that stuff to the hazmat disposal site...give me a call. Always willing to help out a fellow reloader.

Nice find. I have had great success building my reloading supplies from estate sale purchases. I have been getting lots of stuff at a fraction of retail. I now have 3 center fire presses and a shotgun press. I have picked up literally thousands of empty brass for numerous calibres and thousands of bullets and primers as well. Fortunately getting it in bulk loads most of it was in calibers I use or want to. Much of the rest has been good for family and friends. Some I will try to trade or sell.
