I've given away 14 guns as gifts to friends and family members over the past 27 years.

2 Glock 27's to my 2 childhood best friends that are brothers.
1 Ishapore Enfield 308 Jungle Carbine to 1 of those brothers.
3 PSA AR15's to my Niece and 2 Nephews.
3 P80 Glocks to my Niece and 2 Nephews.
1 Ruger PC 9mm Carbine to my sister.
1 Single shot 410 shotgun to another friend.
1 Rock Island 38 special revolver to gal friend.
1 20 gauge bolt action shotgun to another older friend.

To my dad.
It was already his but spent years in a Florida storage unit without air conditioning and he was minutes away from throwing it into multiple dumpsters when he moved into his new place.
So the gift was the refinishing.

I can only think of one I've actually given away, a Ruger Standard. One of my best friends of 40+ coveted it for years, and I wasn't shooting it, so I gave it to him. On the other hand, I have sold a couple to good friends at very good prices when they needed a particular gun more than I did.

Well, lets see,
The Wife: A S&W M-60 in 38 special Her cc pistol for years)
A S&W 686 with a 2X Leupold
A Weatherby Vanguard in 308 (when She started hunting with me)
A Ruger 77/22 with a 1.5X5 Leupold VX-3
A Springfield Armory 911 in 380

The oldest Son; A Ruger 77/22 with a 1.5X5 Leupold VX-3
A Stainless Synthetic Remington 700 in 308 with a 2.5-8 Leupold
A Remington 1100 Special Field 12 ga
A Beretta 390 3 inch 12 ga in camo synthetic

The Youngest Son: A Ruger 77/22 with a 1.5X5 Leupold VX-3
A Stainless Synthetic Remington 700 in 308 with a 2.5X8 Leupols VX-3
A Remington 1100 Special Field 12 ga
A Beretta 390 3 inch 12 ga in camo synthetic

The oldest Grandson: A Remington 700 Classic in 308 with a 3.5X10 Leupold VX-3

My Dad: A S&W Bodyguard in 38 special
A S&W Model 27 in 357 (pinned & recessed with the display box)

The oldest Grandson inherited the 686. The middle Grandson inherited the Vanguard and the youngest Grandson inherited the 77/22.

You may see a pattern here! The 2 boys were pretty quick to spot the different in things and to claim superiority so I bought them the exact same things. The Wife's Vanguard was not my first choice. Not even the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.......... But She loved the stupid thing! I put a 3X9 Leupold compact on it that I had laying loose in the safe so we could start getting used to it. She wouldn't let me change it. The 686 and the M-60 have stories, better left for another time.

I gave my oldest son a Remington Model 7 in .243 for his 14th birthday. I gave him a Beretta 92FS when he graduated from college as it was the same gun he trained with in the USMC reserves. When he lost interest in hunting, I gave him a Bushmaster AR in exchange for the Model 7, which I then gave to daughter #3, who still has it. She’s married with children now, so hasn’t hunted in a while, but she still enjoys shooting. Last Christmas I offered her her choice of carry guns from among several in my safe and after shooting a couple, she selected a Kahr PM9. A few years earlier, I offered daughter #1 her choice of several and she opted for a Taurus 942 in .22WMR.

My other daughters enjoy shooting on occasion but have no interest (at this point) in firearm ownership.

I have a son, 34, and a daughter 38. Several years ago, I gave each of them the following. Not always the exact same guns, but comparable. I didn't buy any of these new specifically for them, just what I pulled out of my safe to give them.

AR15,
bolt action hunting rifle, 308 and 30-06
Smith M&P 9mm
Marlin Texan 30-30
Shotgun, Rem 870 and Mossberg 930
Ruger 10/22
Ruger LC9s

My oldest grandson got a Ruger 10/22 for his 13th birthday.

There are 5 grandkids total. One girl who turns 16 in a month lovandes to shoot. Haven't decided what she will get, but when she moves out on her own I'll set her up too. The other 3 are aged 2-8 and not ready yet.

I gave my son an AR15 for Christmas several years ago, split it in two boxes. I took a video of him opening it, the second he realized what it was he sat bolt upright. Unfortunately I lost that video when my phone took a chit. Also gave him my Winchester 94 Ranger that I thought was made the same year he was born, turns out he was made in 88 and the rifle was made in 89. Close enough.
As a side note, a couple years ago I gave him a gun vault for Christmas. Instead of wrapping the safe, I took a picture of it and printed it, put it in an envelope. When he opened the envelope it took a few seconds for it to register what it was, but the look of realization was priceless! Got that one on video too.

Seeing as how my wife and I bought it as a gift in the first place, I'm not sure that's what the OP meant when he asked about "guns given away as gifts." Nevertheless, my wife and I bought a little 4&5/8" Ruger Blackhawk 32 H&R for my dad for Christmas the first year they came out. Dad was always an "anything 32" type of guy, and after he read an article in "Shooting Times" magazine about the Ruger Blackhawks in 32 H&R, he was in love.
So, my wife and I told my mom to not let Dad buy one of those revolvers for himself. Then we went to our favorite gun store and bought one for him. We weren't there, but Mom said Dad cried when he opened the box on Christmas morning. :)
Years later, after Dad was gone, I passed a pair of his '50s vintage Colt "Frontier Scout" 22 revolvers and a beautiful, hand-carved leather holster set to my oldest nephew (Dad's oldest grandson) because I knew he'd appreciate them. If you've read many of my posts, you know I'm not a "guns are for guys" type of person. But my wife and I only have daughters (two of them) and while both of them like guns, and one of them likes hunting and carries, neither of our daughters would have appreciated having those Colt 22 revolvers and their holster set as much as their older male cousin does.

I gave a 10/22 to a friend's son. The family had 2 boys and 1 gun. Now there are no more fights. I gifted my son-in-law with a 12ga Win SX1 and a Savage 10 243. He is the only one to take a deer with that Savage. Our youngest daughter lives in Philly. I'll take her my 42 Glock when we go for a visit next year. I would feel better if it was my 1911 45, but it might be messy on a subway.

My poorly stated topic question is more or less the opposite of this thread:
