Seriously? 51 voted for 4+?
Its not like they make radically different versions between the line up. Please forgive me while I try and wrap my brain around this...

Had a G23, then a G19...both long gone.
If I find a G20SF at the right price...I will probably jump in again.

There are several different sizes for different purposes. It's also nice to have different calibers.

I do find it a bit laughable when I'm looking at a Glock product catalog. They are all so similar it's like looking at a few different models of the same gun over and over.

I only have one caliber and I have 3 (sub compact for carry, compact for carry when I can hide a little more gun and a competition model). 4 isn't hard to imagine. If I had the disposable income to buy a press and start loading 45, I'd have 6.

. The same can be said about firearms in general, if you want to make blanket statements. When you were a kid you didn't stop at one pack of baseball cards just because they were all pretty much the same, did you?

The same business model made Kimber a top 1911 seller when they started. If they came up with a design they thought would sell, they sold it in different sizes...Ultra, Pro and Custom. They all looked the same but they all sold. It's no different with glock, other than the fact they only have one product line. :)

Too many!

I've owned over 20 since 1994, had about 14-15 at one time. I now have about 12but three are just waiting to be sold. I've got mostly .40's, three 10mm's, two .45's and the OG (Original Glock), the 17. Also have over 200 Glock mags, about 80 or so brand new 33 rd. mags and about 20 33 rd. mags which have been used some.

Glocks are my go to pistol and the capacity make them great truck/nightstand options but I've found other pistols carry better for me, even if larger and/or heavier. The M&P 45C for example is slightly wider, longer and heavier than a 23 but for some reason is easier to carry and conceal. It may have to do with the grip angle, I don't know.

What's so difficult to "wrap your brain" around?

They make 7 different frame sizes, 5 different slide lengths in the small frame series, 3 slide lengths in the large frame, one unique slide and 6 different calibers. (7 if you count the .380 that's not available in the USA)

It's not difficult at all to "wrap your brain around" being able to find 4 models that'll suit a wide variety of purposes.......unless you're one of those "nobody 'needs' more than one gun" idiots.

I own three, the 21SF, 23 and the 26. All of mine are third generation, I checked out one
of the fourth generations the other day. The adjustable back strap is nice but I'm not a
fan of the rough grips. I think I'll stick with what I have for now.

I hear that about the frame texture often. I find it odd because I never wanted a glock until the RTF frame texture came out. I was disappointed that the gen4 wasn't quite as rough as the RTF texture. Still, I own 3 gen4's and sold the RTF.

LOL

Go get your shine box boy....

I like variety...

I am not going to own 20 of of the same shirts and trousers by the same manufacturer. Even if one has a racing strip, elastic waistband or freakin lime green...

If you want to do so knock yourself out.

There are thousands of guns out there!!!!!!!!!!!

You're having trouble "wrapping your brain" around FOUR, not twenty.

There is something to be said for consistency between guns, but that usually applies to someone wanting to maintain their skills at a high level. As opposed to the guy who owns one of everything, but can't hit with any of them.

I, too, like variety. I won my first Glock late in the collection, but I appreciate Glocks for what they are and what they do. I do not condemn them for what they look like.

It would seem that non-Glock owners aren't smart enough to read or comprehend what they've read.

No surprise though, haters usually aren't very bright.

You're hurting my feelings :)

I do agree that a lot of ground can be covered with the Glock catalog.

Sub for summer carry

Compact for winter carry

Fullsize 9mm for economical competition

Full size 10mm for hunting

See...that wasn't so hard.

+1. There are guns as good, so why would I surround myself with more than even two of the same looking or feeling pistol? I can't "wrap my brain around" owning even ONE Glock, let alone several. I like my variety, but this jazz of "so long as it's black" can suck eggs.

I currently own three: two G23's of the first generation (of compact .40's) and a G17 Gen 4. Best part is they are all black and not made out of rust-able, old fashioned, obsolete old metal!

Like what? Please be specific.

so why would I surround myself with more than even two of the same looking or feeling pistol?

For consistency of grip, transferable gun handling, holster, magazine and parts compatibility to name a few.

I can't "wrap my brain around" owning even ONE Glock, let alone several.

i believe you. But what CAN you "wrap your brain" around owning and using?

I like my variety, but this jazz of "so long as it's black" can suck eggs.

Don't think anyone said that, but many other brands of guns are black. Should they be discarded as a result?

Smith M&P for starters. More comfortable, ergonomic grip to me. Superior accuracy, for me.

Just as much after market support, with top notch customer service. I know because I've used S&W's service before.

I can "wrap my brain" around owning the guns I do, because they aren't Glocks. However, I surround myself with as many CZs as my fiancee will allow. You know how that goes.

I've heard the black gun statement before, believe a quote by a member here when comparing the 1911 to the Glock (more of an argument of fanboys than a comparison), wasn't directed at
anyone specific, and you can discard whatever color guns you please, but if you're going to actually discard them, I could sell them for you to some rube for a small finders fee... I do not limit myself to a certain finish or color of coating and I believe you missed the point. But, for all you know I could be
one of those "one gun idiots".

I own one (G17) and its nothing special IMO. Not a hater, just not enamored by it.
