How many is too many?

Thanks for all of the stories. I just read some of the messages to my wife in the hope that my paltry collection will look like to her like I'm a rookie and she's lucky I only have one safe. I don't have two of anything-yet.

I don't class my Lee Enfield collection as duplicates. After all its very important to have a Longbranch No4 Mk1 and mk1*, both for the Savage and then a BSA made one, a Enfield plant made one and so on. Each one is quite different or at least thats what I tell my wife when I point out but look it has a different makers mark.

I will not quit too till I get an L42.

Gee I'm glad that this thread exists.

Seriously. Now I feel like less of a paranoid freak.

It's good to know that I'm not alone in this duplicates thing. :D

Four Swiss K-31's

and I would consider buying more if one caught my eye. Different wood grains, years, etc.... Hard to have just one! :)

different variations of any given model and BTW stop the none sense about TWO of each!!

Think in terms of at minimum TWELVE of each variation, in fact When I order AK recievers from NODAK Spuds Harlen always asks "I assume this will be for the usual dozen right?" he already knows the answer he's just being polite :D

More than just one more.

Repeat as needed........................................;)

If you have so many that the excess weight causes foundation cracking in your house....you probally have too many.

And if you ever DO find that you have too many,

You just MIGHT be a redneck.
