The other day when I stopped by the pawn shop, my buddy showed me a couple of Glock slides that he had just finished laser engraving. The slides are for a 43X and a 19X.
He said that he bought the programs for his laser engraver, and that the programs cost $150 each.
I asked how much did he charge if someone wanted to ship a slide to him. He said if it’s a stripped slide, he could do it for $250 and that would cover return shipping.
I’ve been thinking about having one of mine done, but would want a different pattern.

That is nice, does he have a site I can view. I was looking a while back to get some empty brass shot at a funeral engraved.

I like it, Gunny!
Engraving is a great way to hide wear as well as look snazzy.
I really like that pattern too. Too often the engraving is traditional scrollwork, or something garish, it’s good to have other modern patterns,1920 as opposed to 1780, involved and nicely done.

If it isn’t Baroque, it needs fixin’!;)

Since this is laser, could it be done twice or more for more depth in certain places or is the single etching pass the only one? I could be satisfied with laser engraving on some things.:)

That is like lipstick on an pig when we all know mud is more appropriate and probably looks better too.

I can appreciate the craftsmanship and artistry of the fancy gun but have zero desire to own one. I want guns who's "fancy finish" is lots of wear, from me using them.

I’m pretty sure the depth of the laser cuts can be adjusted.

That can't be your bench ... Way too clean
I actually have 4 benches in my shop.
I chose the same Husky bench for my latest retirement reloading bench ... Height infinitely adjustable for comfortable stand up or sit down reloading/bench work for my back.

Impressive work, but I would spend the $250 on ammo.
In the end, a dressed up Glock is still a Glock whereas after $250 in ammo, you might just be a bit better shot with it'
