I J Supershot Sealed Eight

Good afternoon. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the date of manufacture of an Iver Johnson break open revolver Supershot Sealed Eight. Serial number L16114.
I believe that they were manufactured between 1932 and 1941 but I am having some difficulties finding the exact year of manufacture online.

Can't help on the date, but I had a Target Sealed 8 long ago. Nice gun.

I apologize for taking so long to deply. I just couldn't remember where I found the information. Bill Goforth (RIP) literally wrote the book on IJ's. I suspect you have already found the below post.

Bill doesn't give much serial number information in that post. But he does date the serial number he was questioned about. Serial number L 26103 was manufactured in 1941, so yours was sometime before that as you've already figured out.

I've been meaning to get all of his books, just haven't yet. His book will be the best source.
