I "promised" myself a month ago that I would stick to buying accessories for the next 18 or so months. Went to the LGS on Friday and saw they had a stripped AR lower on sale and picked it up. So much for that promise. .
In light of the current market I am committing to not buying another firearm or ammo till 2022.

I’m not even shooting much right now, because I don’t really want to fight the craziness on any level. Ammo’s fine, no need to chase down the latest and greatest truck arrival rumor from academy. And I don’t have any gun wants that I’m willing to go crazy over right now.
that being said, I am taking some time to update the tools that I do have. For example, replacing a grip set on a revolver with something I like better, or repairing one of my shotguns or refinishing one of my autos.

Good luck! I said that 20 years ago. My experience is that there is always "just one more".I am only going to buy one more gun. I just need one more and I will be set for life.........................or until I need just one more.

Of the reason I am making this promise to myself is simply because prices that look good in this current market would have been grossly over priced last year in many cases. I am not in a need situation so I don't need to find good prices in the current market. I can wait and intended to wait for the market to settle when my fun money will go further. It also means I won't be shopping very often and rather than burn time shopping I will use that time to do other things so I ensure I have time to go hunt and shoot matches.

Times are challenging across the board. Folks have to make choices everyday that they might not have even considered a year ago. Everyone is in a different place. Let's agree to allow people to make decisions based on what they facing and not what we might be facing.
