In a second i'm going to run out to my truck and make sure you didn't steal my rifle!!!

I recently bought one in similar condition with an old scope for $200......$90 in my book is a heck of a deal!

I like finding rifles in rough shape for cheap, it doesn't hurt so bad to use them like they were meant to be.

Gunny, have you had any issues with flat springs when using your electrolysis tank? I just had some serious bad ju-ju go down when I stuck my Marlin in the tank. I understand 119 year old flatsprings are prone to failure, just seems odd that the mainspring wasn't compressed and magically snapped along with the extractor spring.

SCORE! ......... :)

I like the peeper on it as well!

Clean it up best you can and use it or Duracoat it to your liking! :)

Here is a pic of one...nice and a youtuby on a Marlin 336. I have a couple of well worn specimens I think I am goint to Duracoat myself. There was someone here on THR did it as well some time ago.

The 1894 pic is from Georgia outdoor news... I think that rifle looks great! I dont know that I would have cut the barrel though. He cut it down from 20" to 16" and recrowned it. Full story here: http://forum.gon.com/showthread.php?t=240863

Gunny, another great find. But really... Louisiana? Too cold!?
Well after cancer treatments for Tonsil cancer, I get cold very easy. Anytime it's below 70, I get cold.
