I guess it might be part of jess getting old; or maybe just not bringing much ammo.
I decided to let my old SAA clones get to go WalkAbout and so took the Schmidt made 5½" 357 mag and also the 9mm Luger cylinder to the range. I just grabbed a handful of ammo to make sure all still worked since it has been at least two decades since any of the three revolvers had been shot. The two others are a 44Mag (but I usually shoot 44 Special) and a 45 Colt.
It was a loud day with several guys shooting AR type indoors at 25 yards so I likely would have left shortly any way. Shot 5 with the 9mm Luger cylinder and then 10 rounds of 38 S&W Special. Decided it was time to walk away.
Looks like it still works. Next will be the 44 Special and then the 45 Colt. I'm pretty sure I still have partial boxes of ammo stored is a safe place and once I remember where that is it will be back to the range.
