I hunt in Alabama and have seen spotted fawns in early November. I live in GA and had a spotted fawn at the feeder in my yard in late October. This was October 11 and spots were fading.

That is a TINY deer! Did its mother breed in July?

I came across one deer hunting in early December in Pennsylvania a few years ago. I thought it was a skinny dog running around at first. I kind of doubt it made it.

One year we came across a new born fawn in mid-September in Penn's Woods !
The Game Commission told us that while rare, it's not unusual for a fawn to be born late.
It has a lot to do with the first pregnancy of the fawn's mother and when she first came in heat!
