This probably isn't "new news" to any 6.5 Grendel owners, but I just wanted to confirm that the reports are indeed true. If you want to shoot heavier bullets (123-130 grain) in your 6.5 Grendel, you owe it to yourself to try LeverEvolution powder. I understand CFE 223 is just as good and maybe cleaner, but I haven't tried it yet as I had some LVR on hand to experiment.

I'm getting better velocities and groups 1/2 the size of what I got with 8208, and zero pressure signs.

Starting out low, I was a little concerned with the ladder test until I got to the last four loads (in 0.3 grain increments). Three of the four were touching and the fourth was only 1/2 away. Velocity was 2415-2460 for 30.1 - 31 grains of LVR under my 130 grain Berger VLD's.

It's also shooting my 130 Sierra Gamechangers extremely well - under 3/4" at 100 yards and 1.5-2" at 300 yards.

If you want to shoot the heavier, highter BC bullets from your Grendel, give it a try.

Nice info. Hard to argue with results like that. Today, powder companies try to limit their data within a certain few calibers in an attempt to sell more powder. In fact, some powders are a lot more versatile than powder marketers let on.

Is there a data source of did you do your own workup? I don't see any data on the Hodgdon site.
Just poured through the 6.5 Grendel forums and various sites where others shared their experiences with Lever and 223. Felt like I was starting low enough to be safe and watched carefully for any signs of pressure. None whatsoever all the way through 31 grains.

This is in a Howa Mini with a 22" tube.

I loaded up 10 rounds with the 130 Bergers and 30.6 grains of LVR. Will head to the range to compare them with 30.5 grains of LVR under the 130 Sierras to see how the point of aim compares. I plan to target shoot and hunt yotes and pigs with the VLD's and hunt deer with the Sierras.
