If you want the best tool for the job why are you limiting yourself??? there is a reason why heavy guns dominate professional competition.

Because I prefer striker fired handguns and don't want to learn an entirely new manual of arms that is different than my edc just to goof around with some friendly competition with friends.

Heavy guns rule games where you don't have to transitions long distances between targets. Where you can just hammer on a few targets only a few feet from each other. Especially steel matches. Set up an IDPA stage where you have to go full right, then full left, and the swing weight of a heavy gun can be a chore. I can move a light weight gun from target to target much better.

Get the Glock 41, you won't be disappointed. Get a set of Warren Tactical sights for it.

You might want to check out results from USPSA Nationals. If I recall correctly 7 or the top ten finishers at last years Production Nationals were shooting a DA/SA gun...with 48% of competitors shooting a CZ based gun..

IDPA has weight limits so its not exactly equal footing.

personally I went from a G35 to a CZ TS in USPSA and immediately saw vast improvements even though the CZ weights darn near double my glock...

USPSA is where you hose down targets next to each other, and there's no script (if the club I was at was following the rules). Still the Glocks are in a close second, while in IDPA, Glocks flood SSP and ESP. Even see them in CDP now.

The Glock 34,35, 41 are still an excellent choice. If the OP liked the 41, get the 41. It's a darn good gun.

That being said, just about everyone who's borrowed a CZ Tactical Sport Orange has a $1600 lighter wallet right now.
