Looking for Stoeger serial numbers

Howdy y’all. I’m selling my .22 Stoeger Luger of the 1970’s era. The question is about the manufacture date of this gun and whether or not it’s C&R eligible. Does anyone know where I can look for this info? I contacted Stoeger, which was bought by Benelli in 2000 and they tell me that they don’t have any records before then. Like they didn’t get any of the paper records when they bought the place, but that’s what they’re telling me. Does anyone have a source for .22 Stoeger Luger serial numbers?
