For the range in question, I honestly would suggest checking out the Vortex 2-7x32 scout. I have two of them and love them.

Awhile back I picked up a 1-8x Vortex strike eagle with mount from Palmetto for $299 (for the money, with mount, hard to beat, imo).

I would love to come across that deal right now. I didnt even think to check on memorial day because I spent the day fixing and painting the porch at our church and it just didnt occur to me to check for sales this year. Would have loved to see what Geissele had for deals too, I would have loved to score a SD-C for $180..........

That’s why it’s questionable when someone says Bushnell/Vortex/Leupold/Burris is junk/OK/fantastic.

One should consider both the age of the scope and it’s original cost versus competitors cost.
