Model call

One of my new friends is a THR-reading gun-carrying nurse who is ex-USAF. Turns out she has acting experience. I look forward to doing a proper shoot with her.

She looks familar for some reason, she shoot a Model 66 by chance?

Nurses, Rad techs, Scrub Techs, Doctors...all have a "persona" that is hard to explain unless you know one, work around them ...etc.

While stereotyped many ways, photos bring out "just a real person doing a real job". They do not even have to be in respective uniforms, or scrubs...

Ladies that do sports such as golf, tennis, also possses this.

School teachers -not all but some ...for instance Larry's Daughter Susan, carries herself very well, is sharp, atriculate, has a sense of humor. She can take care of herself and can. She was raised right. :)

She would be GREAT and her husband Jeremy ...gotta have Daughter Sadie [I'm biased] as well. This family portrays a lot...they ever make it to TN, snag this family.

I "know" Susan has talent, as does her mom Sandy...just cannot say, a PM will reveal. (something they did as a mom and daughter, and not a good idea to spill the beans with the other kids in family reading about it here)

:)

Tennis balls down shirts?
I'm sure there are more than a few guys with moobies amongst us that wouldn't need to.

Moobies, for the uninitiated, are man boobs.

I'm a model, you know what I mean, I do my little turn on the catwalk.

Yeah on the catwalk.

Oleg, if I make it to the Smokies, I'll drop by.

Preacherman seems to do fine without the cleavage (note that he's a heck of a lot more starved now that in this picture).

Oleg:

My wife and I live in Bowling Green, about an hour north of Nashville. We are both familiar with guns, though she is the better actor by far. I'll see if I can did up some pictures - the only ones I can recall that feature guns are with me in cowboy action shooting gear.

Oleg,

We're not close to your neck of the woods, but maybe you can do something with this one. I think that Ted Kennedy and his like should be very afraid of this picture.

Very nice.
Oleg, I think you could do some nice work with this young lady -- her face grabs you, and you are very good with faces.

Mr. Shadow, next time you take that photo, please remove the lens covers.

Fud

the lens cover on the scope is the see through "scratch guard" type, the front is tinted greenish, and she likes to use it, so far I've not been able to remove it. :) I thought I should have put the mag in after I took the photo, but ohh well.

Before she even touched the .22 she is carrying, she had to prove herself worthy, with her pellet rifle. She had to demonstrate, and not just repeat, the four rules. We've got a ways to go with her proficiency, and technicals, but when it comes to safety, she can teach some of the adults a thing or two.

Don't get her wrong, at 11 she loves going to the range, fishing, and looking forward to her first camping trip, but she is all girl, and loves shopping for cloths, can't ask for better than that in my mind. :)

I would gladly do it. Im 6'10'', so im sure it can be used for some kind of "large male vs. small armed female" kind of picture. If youre ever in Chattanooga or if we can work something out ill do it in a second.

Have you thought of any of the local amature theater groups? Granted you get a large number of liberals (don't flame me I realize not ALL liberals are anti-gun I'm talking percentages from my experience here) in the theater but when I lived in Memphis we had all types at Theater Memphis (formally Memphis Little Theater)

One of my new friends acts at a theater in spare time. She's not a gunnie though.

Xavier, I just realized I forgot to send you the promised Marlin sight. Will dig up your address and do so asap.

Tension

It seems to me that the unconscious muscle tension that often gets expressed in the facial region (such as Betty on point) really helps to accentuate the image and message. I frequently notice that a lot of photos in which "things" are held in the proper alignment, posed properly, etc., lack the message of fear or perceived danger when they are not reflected in the facial muscles - and as such are quite weak in the impact department.

Thus, if you can find someone who can express alarm in their face with intensity, you'll have someone who will also know how to tense their arms and hands while caressing their device of resistance - creating a solid and lasting impression.

And ya know... these days with people being a bit "rounder" in the cheeks - you might have to start hanging out with the Vegetarians in order to find someone with a sculpted facial profile that can really "express" more emotional intent than someone who's a bit more cherub like...

BTW - That Betty poster is really top notch in this regard, kudos both to her and you Oleg for producing that gem!!

Oleg, I see the difference in the 1st pic of old to new as two distinct profiles in the old the first pic is showing a not only un armed but panicked fright. The new pic shows an unarmed but determined, confident young woman.

The second photo seems a matter of perspective with the old a close up of the face and eyes showing confidence and defiance where the second photo is not as close loosing this perspective.

No matter what your photos are great!!
