its so awkward and a PITA. much easier to just open the bolt when you want to be "safe"

Am I right in thinking that pulling back the end knob on the bolt and rotating it slowly is the "safety", kind of like a not-so-safe hammer drop, that is really hard to re-engage?

Doesnt seem too safe to me, but I could be wrong. Maybe safer than leaving it cocked.


Sorry about the repost, but I did do a search. This was the first time I had read it, and when I did I laughed so hard I was tearing up from the pain in my side. It's a shame none of my friends will be able to appreciate this.

Hotdogs and apple pie are only applicable to AR shooters if they are black, have ballistic nylon buns, and are served on kevlar plates. Oh, and don't forget that the bot dog itself has to have 4 rails on which to mount Surefires, ACOGs and bayonets...
