I just picked up a 590A1 and would like to send the barrel off to be threaded for chokes. Who's your guys's recommendation? The closer to the West Coast the better.
What's the rational for wanting chokes on it? Just curious? Also, I can help but wonder what the price difference would be between a used 500 with choke barrel vs having your bbl threaded and buying a choke.
i just had a older remington 1100 20ga with a factory imp cyl barrel threaded by mike orlan for true chokes standard thread and i like it,now i can use it for any game i care to hunt with imp cyl, mod or full chokes tubes. total cost was 75.00 to do the work and return the barrel. eastbank..
I've had three barrels threaded, and will send any more I need worked on, to Carlson's Chokes. They are in Attwood,Kansas, and do excellent work at reasonable prices, and very fast turnaround.
