Most tactical of untactically tactical pants?

Not being a cloths horse and not needing to carry much of anything I wear Wrangler slim fit jeans. I also wore them in my working days and they will hold a fair amount of "stuff" if needed. I quit Levi's many years ago when they shut down their plant here throwing a lot of people out of work, moved overseas, and raised their prices. Their 2A stance reinforced my determination not to ever buy their product again.
I wear jeans mostly if I'm not wearing formal clothes, as far as pants go, but, they aren't always ideal for a long day of work, hiking, etc. Also, I generally wear non-baggy jeans so while firearms can be pocket carried in them, it's often really tight unless a micro pistol. That's why I got some 5.11 cargo pants, and no not the most tactical looking ones. They look like REI hiking pants.

I gotcha.
We just discovered wrangler stretch pants.
Very comfortable and pretty good looking. I'm keeping a khaki pair for church.
Zippered Pockets on legs hold my large cellphone.
Best part....?
Stretch comfort and .......$20.00……!View attachment 1031338
I’m with you on these. Picked up a pair on a whim and have been very pleased with how comfortable they are.

The older I get the more pockets I find I need. I was able to get by with carpenter pants and it's additional pocket. Now I'm looking for 2-3 more pockets.
Somehow I manage to carry this assortment of goods daily in standard blue jeans.
Anything more than that gets carried in a
game vest or daypack or an old cabelas
safari vest they used to sell
I'm with Ranger99 on the "safari" vest. Although they don't call them "safari" vests, there's a few companies that still sell something similar. Schaeffer's Outfitters, Duluth, and even 5.11 sells vests with a lot of pockets.
The "work" vest I wear almost everyday while working around the place here came from Schaeffer's Outfitters - it's canvas, has a lot of pockets for tools and such, and it's long enough to cover my handgun - actually I ordered a 2XL-Tall because I wanted it to be long enough to cover my handgun. Now that I have it though, I've determined that I didn't need it to be "Tall" because I really don't care whether or not my handgun is concealed when I'm working around home.
On the other hand, I wear a fancier Duluth Trading vest as a cover garment when I go to town. It has a lot of pockets too. It's just not quite as rugged.
I also have a real fancy Coronado concealed-carry vest with a built-in "holster" of sorts in an inside chest pocket. I don't like it. It's heavy, too short, and I doubt I'll ever get used to carrying a gun in a chest pocket.

I've been wearing "5.11"s since their original offering by Royal Robbins as climbing pants; i.e., pre-"tactical." That "tool strap" above the right rear pocket was originally for carabiners. I still like their cargo pants compared to most because the thigh pockets don't "billow" like many; when empty, they are pretty streamlined. Several of their offerings qualify for "business casual" and couple up nicely with a polo or button down sport shirt. I'm partial to the Taclite Pro and Fast-Tac Urban pants; that's all I'd wear if I could get away with it.

I think the Wrangler cargo and Wrangler/Riggs are a good way to go for me. Still looking at the other options listed above. Thanks guys!

I use Carpenter pants. Usually Wranglers because they are made better and aren't an anti-gun company, like Levi's. The side pocket on the right leg is perfect size for a small can of pepper spray. Which is part of my EDC. I also have keys, earbuds, a small pill case, knife, wallet, phone, flashlight, stabby type pen, firearm, and spare magazine.

I wish I'd bought another one of the vests
and they also offered a safari coat that
I wish I'd bought at the same time. I could
kick myself every time I think of it.
One of the most durable and useful
garments I've ever had and used.
Of course, that was all pre-BPS when
cabelas was actually a decent place and
sold quality merchandise and actually
stocked it
