Movie with the best gun quotes

"That was the first one, and it didn't have "Billy Jack" in the title so I can't remember the name of the flick. As I remember, "BANG" resulted in a hole materializing in the chief's forehead, and his sunglasses instantly became a pair of discrete sunglass.

If anyone remembers the title, please let me know."

The movie was "The Born Losers"

The first bad guy shot was Jeremy Slate.

Cool flick...and, the leading lady was hot! At least to my 17 year old libido...

This one isnt from a movie but it is an amazing quote, "I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend". (J.R.R.Tolkien, The Two Towers)

Maybe I've watched too many movies while locked in a sub, but...

Wizards:
Avatar (to Black Wolf): Here's a trick Mother taught me when you weren't around. (Pulls a P08 out of his sleeve.) Oh yeah... one more thing: I'm glad you changed your last name, you son of a bitch!

The "They've killed Fritz!" routine was great, too.

Or Boy & His Dog:
Vic/Albert (to sentry): If my gun picks up one rust spot you're gonna wake up with a crowd around 'ya.

Wish I could remember the exact line in "Drive-In" where one of the bad guys shoves a loaded S&W revolver in his pants, saying something to the effect as "Don't worry, I got the safety on."

Wind and the Lion:

The play between President Roosevelt and John Hay was good:
John Hay: Theodore! You are dangerous. You might even shoot somebody - accidentally I mean.
Theodore Roosevelt: John, I'd never shoot anyone accidentally. I need their votes.

But CAPT Jerome USMC was the best. His great lines:
"Fix BAYONETS" ...(a little PT)... "Hostiles to the left; LEFT FACE"

"Gentlemen; if we are to be ruined or killed, I hope the world does go to war"

"Draw your weapons from the boy here."

In one of the worst action movies ever made, On Deadly Ground is this odd little scene. Just based on Billy Bob's other movies and his ability to write dialog, I think the director let him write his own lines. He plays the Homer Carlton role.

Homer Carlton: [about his machine gun] Well, what do you think? Stock in or out?

Mercenary: I don't think it's going to make much difference.

Homer Carlton: Well, I do, see. 'Cause when it's out I kinda feel like a pussy, you know what I'm saying. And when it's in, it just feels like, I don't know, meaner or something and when I kill the son of a bitch I wanna feel good about myself. I wanna feel solid.

This is his only scene in the movie and Steven Seagal's character kills him right afterward.

Can't remember the exact quote, but it's from Zulu

<bang! zip!>
Bromhead: Where the blazes did they get rifles!
Reply: From your dead soldiers at Isandlwana
Bromhead: Now that's a bitter pill. Our own damned rifles!

Pulp Fiction --- Many great gun quotes in that one....

Jules: "And Mr. 9mm here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness"

The whole speech is amazing...
Ezekiel 25:17. 'The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyrannies of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepards the weak through the valley of darkness. For he is truly his brothers' keeper and finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.' Now I've been saying that s*** for years, and if you've ever heard it, it meant your a**. I never gave much thought to what it meant, I just thought it was a cold blooded thing to say to a mother f***er before I popped a cap in his a**. But I saw some s*** this morning that made me think twice. Now I'm thinking it could mean you're the evil man, and I'm the righteous man. And Mr. 9mm here is the shepherd, protecting my righteous ass. Or maybe it means that you're the righteous man, and I'm the shepherd, and it's the world that's evil and selfish. Now I'd like that, but you see that s*** ain't the truth. The truth is, YOU'RE the weak, and I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard to be the shepherd.

Ok not a movie but this is from the book "Cryptonomicon" by Neal Stephenson. For a bit of setup its at a part in the story when a clandestine unit is on board of a plane and one of the members, Marine Bobby Shaftoe tries to relax. It takes place during World War 2, which is reflected by the weaponry and language.

"He finds a place on the floor next to the body of PFC Gerald Hott and stretches out. The teeny revolver
in his waistband makes it impossible for him to lie on his back, so he takes it out and pockets it. This
only transfers the center of discomfort to the Marine Raider stiletto holstered invisibly between his
shoulder blades. He realizes that he is going to have to curl up on his side, which doesn't work because
on one side he has a standard-issue Colt semiautomatic, which he doesn't trust, and on the other, his own
six-shooter from home, which he does. So he has to find places to stash those, along with the various
ammo clips, speed loaders, and maintenance supplies that go with them. The V-44 "Gung Ho" jungleclearing,
coconut-splitting, and decapitating knife, strapped to the outside of his lower leg, also has
to be removed, as does the derringer that he keeps on the other leg for balance. The only thing that stays
with him are the grenades in his front pockets, since he doesn't plan to lie down on his stomach."

How's that for being prepared?:)

Black Hawk Down

Soldier (to LtC McKnight): "Sir, they're shooting at us."
LtC McKnight (Tom Sizemore): "Well shoot back!"

The Simpsons episode, "Homer Buys a Gun":

Lots of funny lines in that one. Especially the name of the gun store..."Bloodbath and Beyond".

Gun store guy explaining options to Homer (paraphrased): "You'll probably want the accessory kit: silencer, loudener, attachment to shoot down police helicopters..."

Gun store guy tells Homer there's a 3-day waiting period and Homer replies in whiney voice: "But I'm mad now."

FULL METAL JACKET

I almost forgot about the greatest war movie ever made.

GySgt Hartman: "The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle."

From Shanghai Noon when Roy O'Bannon is in a gunfight with Marshal Nathan Van Cleef towards the end of the movie.

This isn't the exact quote but it's close enough.

Van Cleef: You dead yet?
O'Bannon: You've almost shot me like 16 times (Van Cleef starts firing at him) 17...18...19

Some more of my favorites:

"Hey, any of you fellas know your way around a Walther PPK?" George Nelson in Oh Brother Where Art Thou.

" Yeah, a Webley-Fosbery 45 automatic 8 shots, they don't make em any more... how many shots gone out of it?" Bogart, The Maltese Falcon

"Captain Howard and the Marines will sweep the weather deck with swivel gun and musket fire from the tops... they'll try to even the odds for us before we board" Captain Aubrey in Master and Commander

"Listen... can we get outta here? All these guns and white people are making me nervous" Canadian Bacon

"Snake, you guard Ed's gun shop, Dell, the bowling alley, rest of you guard this bar with your lives." John Candy Canadian Bacon

Well, well... whata you got there? A whop 9, F--king Fiat of guns, always jammin on ya at the wrong time?" "Bang, bang, bang" Get Shorty

"You just start right in on em with that scatter gun... when you're done with both barrels, drop it where you stand, pull your pistols and make a run for that building where we stashed them others." "-Sounds like you got it all worked out". "Yeah, cept the part where we don't get killed" Boss and Charlie, in Open Range

"Well, now you really better shoot me cause there's no way I'm ever going to explain this... ok, shoot me" Ghost Dog

ok...maybe this one is a little out of bounds

It's not really a line per se but when Indiana Jones is standing in the bazaar after Marion has been kidnapped and this huge Arab with a scimitar starts whirling it around like it was a chopstick and menacing our hero he gives him a look and then whips out the old Colt New Service and puts "paid" to that particular account. Priceless!

he has a standard-issue Colt semiautomatic, which he doesn't trust

wierdo

But back on topic:

Wyatt Earp: "nobody move!"
Doc Holiday: "Nonsense, by all means, move."
