Phil Morden of Milford, Michigan is one of the 16 cast members for Top Shot Season 3.

At 25 years old Phil is the youngest cast member this season. He's a video producer so he made a kick-ass audition video that he credits with helping him get on the show. (There's a link in my story. Be sure to watch)

I recently interviewed Phil so here's the first part of that interview.

Phil Morden talks about Top Shot Season 3 with the Michigan Firearms Examiner

Wow, that's freaky. Phil looks just like my brother. But I'm pretty sure we're not related! :)

Very good video!

I posted part 2 of the interview:

Here's the second part of my interview with Top Shot Season 3 cast member Phil Morden from Milford, Michigan.

Phil is a 3 Gun competitor and video producer. He wound up on the red team after losing his first shoot off with the S&W .500. He redeemed himself with the LaRue OBR during the team challenge.

I did the interview before the first episode aired. I had to break it into two articles due to length.

Part 1: Phil Morden talks about Top Shot Season 3 with the Michigan Firearms Examiner

Phil talks about his background, the audition process, and his extremely well made audition video. (I had posted this previously)

Part 2: Phil Morden wants to 'Represent Michigan well,' on the Top Shot Season 3 cast

In this part of the interview Phil talks about the difference between being a "character" and a "shooter" on the show, how living with 15 strangers leads to all the drama, and what the competition was like.

I'm pulling for Phil to win since he's from my home state.

He shoots at my club, which I how I get his contact info to do the interview. I met him when he joined a year or so ago.

Very cool. Based on the interview, and what little I've seen of him on the show, he seems like a decent dude.

Last season, my early favorite was Ashley. Gotta give props to my fellow AF vets, and being a combat controller, he's got one of the toughest jobs in the force. But at the end he turned into a total D-bag. hopefully, Phil has steered clear of the Drama that seems to permeate shows like this.
