For pistol cartridges I prime on press.
For .223 I hand prime.
Once setup properly, the priming system work pretty good.
My first LM I bought back in the early 90's was a pain to setup the priming. Upgraded the old priming system and it was fine.
I bought a second LM fairly recently and it has been flawless. I did have my first priming issue Sunday while loading some 9mm.
I loaded a flipped primer. But I think it was my fault.
If you remove the priming tray while there are still primers in the top of the trough, you can flip the top primer.
I think I did that because I caught myself doing it 2 other times that day.
I was doing a marathon loading session for 2016 3gun matches.
All in all, 1 priming issue in about 15k loaded in the last year isn't too bad.
