I am doing an article comparing the utility of a pistol and a carbine (preferably sharing the same magazines, such as with a Glock 17 and Kel-tec Sub9/2000). Unfortunately, I can't think of anyone who has such a gun for me to photograph.

Would anyone in Nashville or near it have a pistol-caliber carbine I could use for a photo shoot (which would include about 50 rounds of live fire)? I might have access to an MP5, but that's very atypical for what most of us can get, so a Kel-tec or similar would be preferable.

Best I can do is a couple of lever guns in .357, .22, and .45LC and a Hi-Point 9mm carbine. I live near Knoxville and could meet you there but I don't know if that qualifies as "close".

I'd share my Marlin Camp Carbine, but I'm too far away...

If you have a choice of things, the Ruger and Marlin carbines look less EBR than other examples, and may (or may not) be more in line with what you're trying to do....

Oleg, as you know. I'll be up your way at the beginning of February. If this isn't too late, I can bring my Kel-Tec Sub-2000 with me. It's .40 S&W caliber, and uses Glock mags. I can leave it with you for a few days to shoot and photograph. Let me know.
