On Monday I walked into my favorite LGS and they had something I've been waiting for, pining for, for the last year and a half.
A Ruger Speed Six 2.75"bbl at a reasonable price!!
This one has the blueing rubbed off (and shiny!) in the usual high spots from lots of holster carry BUT in checking rifling, cylinder turn ring, and spots for flame cutting and right behind top chamber, I could tell it has not been fired much.
A quick call to my CFO (wifey), and I got the green light! For $319 OTD it was mine. I didn't even haggle with the guy. Should have, but I lost my wits when I saw it and felt it was a good deal anyway.
It's a 150 prefix frame, which is moderately interesting to me. Not sure if that will impact availability of replacement grips or whatnot.
No pics yet, but will try to post some later. I can already tell this is going to become my all-around CCW/hiking/nightstand, etc... gun.
Hopefully getting out to the range to test fire this afternoon.
