Fine with me. That's the nice thing about Oleg's posters. Since there are like 100+ of them if you can target them to your audience.

Mostly.

Oleg, how about one in Spanish with a Hispanic model for the new immigrant crowd? I have noticed that up here in Illinois we have a bunch of Mexican immigrants that have embraced the 2nd Amendment, for self defense, and also for hunting. Just saw two on Sunday at both from MegaSports and Gander Mountain (Plainfield, IL) - they were doing the tour in the same order that I was looking at sporting shotguns.

Hear, hear. It never ceases to amaze me how much Mexicans understand America.
Here in NoVA they know they've made it when they have a fullsize truck, a pair of ostrich boots, and a pistol.

something simple like

"cops wear armor for protection, but politicians think we are not worth protecting, or something blah blah.

you can figure something out. good premise though

Maybe this is out of left field, but I never like this poster. This or the prior one with only the bathrobe-clad woman. She sort of looks like she wandered out of the emergency room (or, god forbid, the loony bin).

Different colored robe might go a long way toward changing that perception. Buuut... I might be the only one thinking that, so disregard as necessary.

I think I would do 2 things.

1) Reverse the images so the cop comes first along with her words. That sets the stage for the point your trying to prove.

2) Put the bathrobe lady's caption "Just what she can grab..." in the same format and relative position as the cop's. i.e. not below the image. That way your eye reads left to right... "see cop, see cop's words, see bathrobe lady, see bathrobe lady's words."

I really like the bottom bold "Which one needs..." caption though.

I would get rid of the "Just what she can grab when attacked" It clutters up the image a bit.

Maybe instead use bullet lists (no pun intended :D ) to speed up comprehension, and it won't seem wordy.

e.g.

Resources:
  • partner
  • extra ammo
  • backup
  • body armor

Resources:
  • whatever is at hand

I also think it'd be a bit more effective if Kit-in-Robe were shot in the same profile as Kit-the-Cop - they would look a bit more alike.

I love the idea...

"Who deserves to be able to defend herself more? The one with the body armor and partner or the one awakened at 1am by a burglar"

Hmm, still too wordy. Tough to say with few words, but a great theme.

I think the non-cop one needs to be a hot college girl in just her bra and panties like she just woke up... you know to bring up the whole vulnerability image... :D

I LIKE IT

I like the first version of the poster, more than the 2nd. I dont like the posters where your staring down the bad end of a gun.

Texas Rifleman is on the right track...."Who deserves to be able to defend herself more? The one with the body armor and partner or the one awakened at 1am by a burglar"....

How about: At home or on the job Who deserves to be able to defend herself more?
