I'd put the cop first, have another cop small and in the background, out of focus or something.
 
The fence sitters who this stuff would be best targeted at (a) don't get it; and (b) are sometimes scared by it. This image would be FAR more effective with just a Beretta 92...

I think the fence sitters bogie is talking about would never imagine the need of a nice lady like that to have such a gun. I'd say that is exactly why it is effective. At least it gets the wheels turning in their heads, so that even if they haven't imagined it, now they can see it and consider it.

Nice work, Oleg. I like the revisions too.
 
I don't like the Kit Connor one. It's just silly.
i haven't found many that i have liked. oleg volk it is a great thing that you are trying to do but i just think you are "trying" to hard. i might get flamed and that is cool, this is a forum and my opinion is that they are just bad, i am not gonna fall into the "great work as always oleg" because i don't feel that they are. can i take pics no but that isn't what i do, do i make posters no i have no idea how to do that, but this is just totally off in la la land some of these posters. there have been a few in the past that were good, but on a whole i find myself shaking my head when i see one of these post. and saying not again, man come on. i keep going to the threads hoping that they will be better than the last but they seem to get farther and farther from " good work".

I agree and I mean no offense as it's just my critique. I like a number of different things you put out, but most of the time I think they are silly.

Kit is a Cop, she is also a lady.

Don't matter, she has a right to be safe. Be this good locks on the house, motion lights, a dawg, alarm system or firearms.
Firearms : She has a right to use whatever firearm she chooses.

Kit may be a cop, she is still a lady. She has a right to wear little black dresses , heels, jewelry, have her hair and face made up and whatever to go out.

She has a right to wear a bathrobe and wake up with "just woke up look".

Heck I bet she has some "Frumpy" clothes, like sweats, tattered sweat shirt, tennis shoes with dirty shoe strings, and these are just comfy, snuggly clothes a lady likes to wear at home.

Kit is a cop, she has a right to all this whether she is cop or not.
Also, who is to say Kit may be in any other attire, and have a need to defend?
Come home from the Theatre, in that little black dress and hills and before she changes clothes - a serious situation arises.

Who is to say Kit does not for Police Work, dress in a little black dress?
Maybe be wearing a bathrobe and her role is to look a lady that just woke up and needs coffee?

Maybe wear Frumpy clothes for a role in Police work?

Kit is centered, she knows who she is. She is attractive, smart, talented and trained.

She can play the role of a Hi-Roller for undercover work in a little black dress.
Hi-Priced Escort for the same reason.

Maybe the thugs that did harm get word some gal in a trailer will hide them, sell them stolen guns and have a stolen car for them, some gal in a blue bathrobe and all?

Oleg does good work.
Kit has her talents and skills and these come out as she too knows how to do photography.

Maybe the old adage :Not the shooting iron , instead the shooter

applies here too.

I like constructive criticism. If the posters are so bad that nothing can be said, at least provide me with a lineup of good and bad examples and explain why you deem some of them better than others.

By the way, I also have photos with workout sweats and denum jeans and jacket. We have everything from M14 to a flintlock and a few in-between. I do think that some of my older posters were punchier...but many were also technically inaccurate.
 
It's "...great work as always Oleg..." because these images are excellent photography and they GET USED through Oleg's public forums by many, many people. On both sides of the issue. They all show that gun ownership and gun handling by folks from all walks of life is a regular, everyday thing.

There is no be all/end all poster that will suddenly make everyone in the world stop in their tracks and say "hey - those gun-totin' rednecks were right all along!", but every once in a while, I can go and find an Oleg poster that EXACTLY explains a point I am trying to make.

Oleg, technical accuracy is a "nice to have." Getting the message across is #1. Everything else is more or less second place.

Remember that many audience members know two things about boomsticks - jack and... Well... You know...

And some folks are WAY to rigid in their self-repression...

Forget the Cop angle, instead just a lady speaking to other ladies.
I mean the ladies have a right to have their fun, innuendo's about guys, and Pro Gun stuff too.
Let us be honest, we are trying to attract more ladies, and to me, ladies have a right to be suggestive, and be naughty if they want.
Like some of the ads in Cosmopolitan.

Oleg, would you please get rid of that damn green AR. It's hideous. Seriously. Get one in black or something more neutral. I saw it in one of your earlier works and I thought it was a fluke, but it keeps reappearing. Or better yet, make it an AK or something less politically correct.

The pictures are fine, excellent actually. The only problem I see with the posters is that they are too wordy. Just my opinion, I think the second poster with this would be perfect.

I try to mix modern and older guns -- have to show ARs as mainstream, if possible.
 
We are trying to attract more folks.
Ladies are a group we want to attract.

Okay, let us be honest here. Ladies sometimes want to be what they want to be and not the stereotype of Media, Politicians or anyone else.

Some times a lady, mom or not , wants to be a Lady in a little black dress, be a Frumpy girl in frumpy clothes , be silly, and goof off, be Professional in her work, Cop, Doctor, Lawyer, College PhD instructor,EMT, FirePerson, take a bubble bath with a glass of wine and candles...

Still even a Mom, with a sidearm , with brat in the high-chair , spitting out the green peas, carrots or maybe brat having a big time smearing Spaghetti O's all over the tray - can attract another mom.

"Heavens! I can relate to that scene! IF she can pack a pistol and contend with a brat - by golly I can too!"

Although I really liked the first poster, I agree that the second one is more direct and to the point. I like them both though, very good work as always (I'm a big fan).

Also, on a more humorous note, I thought I was the only one who noticed the Raccoon City Police Dept STARS uniform (from the Resident Evil series, which I'm also a fan of), hahaha
