Can't speak for the .308, but we've used quite a bit of the Golden Target in 6.5 PRC for my wife's rifle. I got it for $40/box, or $2/rd for loaded ammo, when the only new brass I could find in the caliber a few months ago was Nosler at $84/50 or $1.68/rd just for cases.

In our case, the 143 BTHP seems to be pretty accurate and consistent, if not exactly blazing fast at 2850fps. Good practice ammo, and good Norma brass afterwards.

My God.

FGMM 175gr used to be $16 a box, not very long ago.

I mean, my receipts haven’t even faded yet.
In the 2018-2019 time frame I found the 168 grain SMK FGMM would consistently shoot .25" groups at 100 yards in my CZ 550 Varmint, a bit better than any of the other factory target ammo I tried. I kept INTENDING to buy a bunch more of it when SGA had it for $165/200 rounds. Now of course I kick myself for never doing so.

So you bought it for less money than Federal AND you end up with once fired Norma brass when your done? Can’t loose. If accuracy isn’t great, just use it for field position practice.
