Yeah, that's kind of insulting.
Maybe so. It's always better to whack people over the head with polite, reasoned, logical debate than to simply insult them.

Can't insult someone into agreeing with you. Generally, you can't reason people into agreeing with you either as many become so emotionally invested in their argument or fear that they will not acknowledge a flawed view. But at least you can point out for those watching why they should not follow someone down the same rabbit hole.

So sorry children. Justin,a long time respected Moderator ,used the term yesterday after getting quite disgusted and rightfully so ,on another ugly thread as we see here:

http://www.thehighroad.org/showpost.php?p=8571623&postcount=18

Now go tell Justin how terrible he is you childish whiners.

Almost 18,000 posts and counting for the man.

I'm sorry some of us set a higher standard for constructing arguments than calling people traitors and Nazi collaborators. But hey you can always get a job with the Violence Policy Center.

Oh why won't you learn from us? We buried our heads in the sand in 1996 and showed no united front. We lost our pistols as a result, and we now realise just how wrong it was to be silent.

Sad, isn't it?

I have a very bad feeling that we're headed towards a British / Australian - style gun grab here. If the NRA, our premier rights organization, doesn't stand up soon and meet it, we're in big, big trouble.

Continue to slobber. It's quite amusing. And remember to tell Justin your thoughts. He'll be just as amused I'm sure. Maybe I shoulda used Benedict Arnold instead. Not so tough on your delicate, fragile sensibilities.

Oh no whatever shall do!!! Are you going to run and tell Justin? The horror the horror!! If you don't like being called out for being an ignorant fool don't construct your argument around whining and insults. If I wanted to listen to that I could listen to Piers Morgan.

I understand the NRA's silence and agree... don't provide the venue, give them no juicy soundbites to which to react. Let the antis spin their wheels, shout at the empty room, pound the air - pick your analogy. I prefer "rope-a-dope"... just absorb the impotent flailing until they wear themselves out a good bit. A quiet but staunch 2A majority in the House will be all the KO required to put the Feinstein AWB to bed.

80,000,000 gun owners in this country

4,000,000 members in the NRA.

The NRA is dropping the ball on this one. The reason Mitt Romney lost the election was because he let Obama define him early, and now the NRA is letting all the Anti's frame the issues and debate. We will lose big time on this if the NRA doesn't get out there soon.

Correct...never interrupt your enemy while he is making a mistake.

Let's be honest Mitt Romney would have already flipped by now.

I agree, the point of my post was purely about the NRA letting the Anti's control the debate, not about what Mitt Romney would be doing. I used Mitt as an example of how to lose a debate in public opinion, which the NRA is currently doing.

A sad pitiful case, gfanikf. Guess I'll just run to Justin and tell him he too is a sad ignorant fool. The more you rant the better we look, darling. :D

And you are wasting your time trying to out insult me. I wrote the book, infantile amateur.

Now crawl home to your crib and get some sleep. :)

You did write the book on infantile amatuerism, I will give you that.

C'mon guys you're gonna get a perfectly good thread locked with all your bickering.

I've already had too many threads locked in the last couple of weeks.

Go easy on each other.

Kiss, and make up, or something.

Or go out back and see who can pee further.

Either way take it somewhere else.

What debate? By whom? Who is the NRA supposed to debate?

Just my opinion, but debate is useless now, the line was drawn in the sand long ago and the only thing to do now is slap them down in court should the need arise.

The REAL thing that is needed is to get rid of Schumer, Feinstein etc. DO IT. In the meantime, use calculated messages to label the gun-grabbers for the Fascists that they are.

That's what they are, Fascists, they don't want the children safer, they want an unarmed populace.

yeah, I said that.

True that !

IT just seems like NRA doesn't want to be the hot spot of the flame war, which I understand.

Yeah its interesting how many places don't even have a Google + image among their social media icons in advertising. Most companies seem to just mirror theit FB page with minimal other effort.

You got no argument from me, man.

A few words from the NRA would sure be nice, though.

Being a Life Member, I'm really disappointed that in our "hour of need" they bury their heads in the sand (or some other dark hole).

They could be using their collective strength to dispel rumors, mis-information, incorrect facts and statistics, and in general standing the hell up to the anti-gunners who wasted NO time, collectively, in going straight for our throats.

I just sincerely hope that the NRA is gathering it's strength for the "mother of all offensives."

If they take this "respite" for the respect of children and parents, they've gained the moral high ground against their gun grabbing adversaries.

I'm withholding my judgment.

But if I don't see something BIG in a week or two, I'm going to be very unhappy with those folks.

Blackstone is correct. We need to have our ducks in a row, when it is time to react.

The Brits were confident in their, "that will never happen" attitude. Look at them now. Once your rights and hardware are gone, they're gone.

Aussies, same boat.

We have too many wackos in this country, to just roll-over and let them murder, rape, rob and home invade with banned hardware.

Some may label this reactionary nonsense. I hope that remains the case...far into the future.

This. So very much, this.

They had better stand up BIG, and soon.
