Opinel plus old dog chew repair

I’ve a “favorite” opinel out of the 10-ish I own. It’s a SS no. 08. It’s my work “eating knife” for fruit and what-ever.
I dropped it a while back and a big chunk came off the handle.
So today I took an old dog chew deer antler, cut the button off, and used it to fix it. The extra length helps with using it against the palm now.

I like it. I wouldn't want to carry it, but I think it looks good and is practical for use.
 
Agree that it is a nice save and the end result looks good.


Also agree that it looks hard on a pocket. You could probably sand the knob end down or smooth it out some other way to alleviate that if desired. Job well done, either way!
