Penn and Teller - Bullet Catching

They did this trick when they came to the UK, but due to our useless gun laws they had to use a catapult and a lima bean :banghead:

It is an illusion, a very well done illusion, nothing more, nothing less.

When did people watching illusion entertainment become 'sheeple'?

Penn Gillette's bio on IMDB puts him at 6' 6.5", Teller's bio says he is 5' 9".

Penn & Teller have always been simply amazing!

PT Barnum did not actually say; "There is a sucker born every minute".

There's at least 3 people from THR that have been on Stage w/ Penn & Teller when they did this...

When I was a kid my father went up on stage for this trick also. Must have been 15 years ago when P&T came to Stamford CT.

I saw these guys in Vegas last Saturday and they did this stunt. It was amazing! Has anybody ever checked to see if the laser and the iron sight line up? Do the Pythons that they use even have iron sights? After thinking about this for a while, I have made a few assumptions.

1. They don't really fire guns at each other.
2. There are no plants.
3. The helmet and body armor are distraction, but the glasses must be real to protect them from breaking glass.
4. The bullets and casings before and after the shot are the same.

See these guys if you get the chance!

ETA: it's nice to find an old thread that hasn't been closed by the mods.

So what if the guy that got picked to go up there, when handed the round to examine it swapped it with a full powerhouse load with a little sleight of hand themselves and gave it back to them to be loaded into the revolver?

Would that ruin the show?

I will tell you its slight of hand Never got to see it live but I could point out to where they switch the bullets out simply from a video. If you want to know the most likely point its done pm me.
